i've already printed a copy and placed it under my pillow in an attempt to absorb Schafer's genius whilst i sleep.

Wow, thanks so much for posting this!

Grim Fandango has perhaps the most compelling story of any game I have ever played. This promises to be an interesting read.

Wow. 5+ hours of video there. Thing is I've had this idea for a while now that certain games could be edited down to 2 hours and presented as a movie. This footage would be all that was needed to make a prototype.

There's an indigo prophecy movie which is just edited-down footage like that.  It just serves to emphasize how awful the writing is in that case, but it could be neat for grim fandango.
