Hmm, maybe there is a misconception that everyone in a post-apocalyptic setting would be a gun-totting Fallout wanderer. Exogenesis is set several years after survivors from underground (not everyone made it to the underground shelters when shit hit the fan, though!) have settled above ground. There is already a semblance of an orderly society in Sanctus-controlled territories, although most other areas are still chaotic and dangerous.

In this case, the character in question resides well within Sanctus turf. Although he has no literary pursuits, it is possible for anyone with similar circumstances to take that road. After all, mankind has been jotting down history ever since cave dwellers learned how to carve symbols on cave walls. Smiley

We're still shooting for a mood of enveloping dread, as if survival is a tough challenge, but we want to paint a complete picture of how humanity might look like in a post-apocalyptic scenario. Something like the future era in the movie Cloud Atlas. :D

Top notch environments!

Maybe add some subtle godrays for the city and direct sunlight hitting the top of the buildings?

Before setting out to find the Ark, however, Yu wants to bring the Durchhalten back together.
This is a very minor critique but the use of the word 'Durchhalten' sounds extremely odd for a german native speaker. No band, club or gang that actually speaks german would ever think about calling themselves Durchhalten.

Very interesting insight!

We chose Durchhalten for its literal meaning. I hope it doesn't get too many raised eyebrows from German-speaking players. :D

If it hasn't been said yet, these backgrounds are really nicely done. The character art looks professional, as well.

Well, I agree with lithander, it does sound quite awkward to German speakers. Besides that, the English pronunciation of the word is also a little weird.
