O.O awesome animation!!! Is it for a cutscene?

Hey are you on Lemma? I think I've read a really early dev thread before the story sounds familiar. I'm looking forward to the interactive, point and click, ace attorney style gameplay <3. It looks like you guys are having fun pushing the boundaries far away from the usual vn games. I agree the art is fantastic and I really like the idea behind the placement of the characters in the bar screenie. Why didn't I think of that :p

That's an in-game animation. Smiley

While placing characters in the game world is typical of adventure games (e.g. Monkey Island), we decided to do it that way after being inspired by Hideo Kojima's cinematic VN/adventure Policenauts.

We do have a thread on Lemma so that's probably us.  Grin

Been a while since this thread got updated, but rest assured that we're working hard on the game. Finishing touches can be quite tricky, and I spent some time in the city that got hit by the super typhoon, but now production is back in full swing and we're pretty excited to release the demo, hopefully before the second week of December.

For now, here's a new illustration.  Cheesy

We're finally a few technical issues away from releasing a demo, and you can watch our trailer below.  Toast Right

Pardon the lack of updates. Everything's taking longer than expected, especially with the holiday season. But we finally have a website!

I just watched the trailer.  You spend a good 25 seconds scrolling by a page of text that's nearly impossible to read.  That's most of the time that you have to convince someone to continue watching the video, and it's just wasted.  I was excited to watch the video, and even I considered aborting and going elsewhere.

You're only the second person to have told us about having difficulty reading that part, but I've definitely been mulling cutting it short. It's supposed to be very short, but our animator wanted to play with it. Tongue

I actually felt the same way when watching the trailer and I have to admit that I didn't even try to read the scrolling text. The font is complicated enough and the fact that it's moving is making it even harder to focus on it.

Looks great! Post-apocalyptic stories can always be very interesting if you put the effort in.
I especially like the backgrounds/scenes.
All the best!
