Fed up with classic RTS with static armies (warcraft, starcraft, dawn of war..) ?
Want to build your unique armies, from units design to abilities ?
And want to clash with other players to confront your powerfuls armies ?

Then Clash Tune wants YOU !

Features :
  • Design your units : tune their abilities in a skill tree, design them in a block editor, create their weapons, ... Knights, archers, space marines, builders, scouts, what you need !
  • Create your buildings : town hall, barracks, watch tower, walls... what you can imagine !
  • Fight online players' armies on voxel maps, fully editable or automatically generated
  • Different modes : deathmatch, capture all the flags, ...
  • Share your armies and maps online

The game will include :
  • army editor
  • map editor
  • probably a simple but powerful mod editor : create new kind of game modes, change appearance (day/night cycles, particle effects, ...)

Clash Tune aims to be a real-time strategy game will fully editable armies !

The main problem is there is a C library compiled for windows 32 & 64 bit. So I just need someone who would be able to recompile this library on a mac...

New graphics and physic engine !

I had to totally rewrite the physic engine because of determinism.
Box2d is not determinist and for RTS games you need a totally determinist physic engine so I decided to write one. As I only need simple shapes (circles and AABB), the engine has been done in only 2 days.
And it became a major improvement in networking !
Now the network is much more stable Smiley

I added a lot of graphic stuffs like cel shading, bloom, some color effects, ...
Need to rewrite the rendering of the particle engine for better performance.
And to improve overall speed also !

In the meantime, I will work on better gameplay experience and units behaviours.
The game is quite stable at the moment and I can now work on this side I put apart for a long time.

So many levels of cute going on here, the voxel characters have an excellent feel to them, I think it's the fuzzy light that does it :-)
