Hello friends!

We're pleased to announce THE ATTACK PACK for PC computers everywhere. We're currently in the midst of our Kickstarter and thought this might be a good place to plot our progress and make announcements about the project as we continue!

Currently we're roughly %45 funded with 10 days to go - our final asking price is a mere $12k.

FIRST THINGS FIRST: WHAT THE HECK IS THE ATTACK PACK?

THE ATTACK PACK is a dual pack of games - one's a crazy spy thriller titled SOS and the other is about the mysterious journey of THE GREY MAN. You can find out all about both titles at our Kickstarter! We were lucky enough to get Jon St. John (Duke Nukem) to narrate our reveal trailer, as you'll see when you watch the Kickstarter video.

Through a narrative surrounding a boy visiting his reclusive grandfather, the player revisits the Agent's most dangerous missions over the course of his storied 40 year career in SOS. The game launches with two episodes, both of which feature a tightly knit story with linear, hand-designed levels. You can use stealth or action tactics - how you get the job done is up to you, just make sure it gets done! Need to access a locked door halfway across a compound? You can either sneak to and hack the computer that controls it, hiding in the shadows and knocking out guards to avoid detection - or, you can go action hero, blow the kiosk up and take down anyone that stands in your way.

The gameplay is fast-paced and precise; everything you do counts. Enemies respond to sound and unusual sights; if you walk through a puddle of water (or blood), you'll track footprints that soldiers may follow to the source (you). If you leave an unconscious body out in the open, they may discover it and radio for help, causing guards to flood the scene. The world responds to various stimuli - stray bullets can kill innocents or detonate explosive chemicals that kill everyone in the room (including you). You can blow yourself up with an ill-placed grenade or rocket. You may want to be more Snake Plissken than Rambo when it comes to the way you think about the game - running and gunning is tough, and can get you killed easily. One wrong move could mean curtains. Thankfully, Agent is the master of rolling.

THE GREY MAN is an experience composed of two parts - exploration and human capture - set in the vast expanses of Tinder-Boone National Park (and Campgrounds), a protected nature preserve. GM will encounter humans camping throughout the National Park shortly after his landing on Earth, and would like to take them all back to his ship.

Though the main objective throughout the majority of your experience is to use GM’s trans-dimensional powers to collect humans, you may also need to use those powers to defend yourself from some of the particularly threatening ones. You’ll have to avoid being tranquilized and netted for research by the troops of Forest Rangers lurking throughout the wilds of the park. Humans are always on the lookout for a new species to categorize, so why not you? You’re a great candidate!

For additional information, you should check out our Dev Diary, which we update four times a week! We're going to be posting again right beneath this post with links to all of our current developer diaries, and keep it updated as we progress.

WHO ARE YOU GUYS?
We're a game dev duo from Queens, NY, trying to make it on our own in the big city we call home! It's just us and our computers, man. We both come from professional backgrounds in the game industry - we have backgrounds in game design and art, and have commercially released games ranging the entire genre gamut under our belts. We know our way around a game or two, you could say!

We've been working on this project for nearly ten months now, and have done everything you see in ATTACK PACK ONE ourselves; art, programming, design, etc. There is one exception, though...

Our team is currently supplemented by the boys at Hyperduck Soundworks, who are handling all audio production for both games. They are crazy talented and a blast to work with. That's actually where the bulk of our Kickstarter funds are going - to pay them and cover some software licenses!

WHEN IS IT DUE OUT?
We're aiming for May 2014, but we'll be able to speed up production a bit based on our Kickstarter's final funding! We have tons of awesome stretch goals planned that you can read over on the site - everything from full voice acting by Somatone Interactive to an entire third game added to ATTACK PACK ONE.

THE IMPORTANT LINKS
The Kickstarter, which is where you'll find the reveal trailer narrated by The Duke, and tons of information about the games

Our dev diary- a very important link as it contains additional gameplay footage, production sketches and much more!

Anyway, we'd love it if you checked us out. We just launched a demo of a boss fight from SOS for a LET'S PLAY TIME ATTACK competition - videos should be cropping up on the ol' net over the next few days. We'll be sure to link you to them here. Thanks for your time, and we hope you'll stick around and hang out on our new DevLog with us! We'll happily answer any questions you have & keep you posted as we work towards launch.

(More posts coming after this one, hang tight!)

Hi gang! Got some new Dev Diary updates above, and a new Let's Play video by The Decent Duo! 12 minutes of boss fight gameplay that shows off how tough the game is going to be.

Personally - guy to guy - we were super stoked to see how amped they got while playing. Check out the reaction when they finally take Lt. Fanibhusan down at 8:13!

Here's the current winner of the LET'S PLAY competition, James Bartholomeu of Indie-Love.com, who was able to shave a full ten seconds off the previous winning time!
