Hello,

The beta version of my tool Shaper is available. This is a side project of my side project that has taken on a life of its own. It can be downloaded from here: http://shaper.inversesoftware.com/

Shaper has been designed for people like me: a programmer that needs 3D art but who would rather be programming than learning advanced tools such as Maya. I have tried to keep things simple. I will be adding advanced tools later that leverage programming skill.

The main feature right now is the voxel modeling. A simple textured model can be created quickly and exported for use in engines like Unity. A video of this tool in action is linked below.

More traditional modeling tools are available as well. These include basic primitive creation and transformation. In additional to creating models from scratch these tools can be used to tweak models created using voxels.

Looking ahead I will be adding Linux and Mac versions. Further ahead I will be adding animation support. I also plan to add more procedural art tools. At this point there is a basic tree generation tool but it is experimental.

Thanks heaps to anyone that takes the time to try it out. I would love to hear any feedback you have.

Have fun!
