Hey guys, I made a game with my boyfriend ( our works go under the name Endlessfluff): Valdis Story. You might remember the name from GamingW forum days. It's been a while! Same universe but different point in time.

You can play it on Desura and GamersGate Humble Store coming soon.

We had some pretty amazing help on this. Calum Bowen did a fantastic job on SFX and Zack Parrish's music is deep, melodic and I think they are both perfect matches for what we were trying to do. Thank you guys.

Apparently it's like castlevania and devil may cry  because it's an exploration slash brawler. I've also saw someone call it a Castle-Mana game because it has some RPG elements.  That's what people say but we just wanted to make a game we that we felt was rich in story and gameplay.

Here, have some gifs.

Here's some art of the two playable characters so far. Wyatt,Reina.

Also please support us on Greenlight so we can get on steam Smiley

I would have posted this news sooner but had a difficult time this week. Thanks for checking out this post.

Looks really nice great art and Game Maker too!(My preferred tool) Hope it does well.
Minor crit, the FX look a bit overpowered visually for my taste, I think they tend to hide the action a bit too much. But yeah overall great job! :D

Yes it's all Gamemaker. Which fx do you mean?  There's a lot of different types of magic/abilites so it's important to differentiate them. That could be what you're responding to? oh carp. Didn't put a gameplay trailer up there...
Here it is if you didn't see it on the Greenlight page:

Hey Mankoon, Yeah I went to your site and saw the video, Looks Great, I just mean all the FX, it is just a personal preference, But I feel like all the FX could be halved in terms of their opacity, and you would still get the nice effect and be able to see the action a little less obscured.  Shrug like I said minor crit and personal pref.  Toast Left

Jesus I love this game so much. Remarkable I have another three characters to play afterwards. Got in a bit of a rutt as I managed to summon something called 'The Raven' way earlier than I was maybe intended to (Level 8 )?

Taught me so much about how the skill cancel works though, particularly regarding invincibility.

Man, congratulations. It's great!

Hey MagicInkGames- Hey thanks for the input. I'll consider toning it down next time but for now not a top priority.  Sorry I didn't get back to you until now.
Hey Xander-
Glad you like the game! The raven has been popping up for some. It's kind of funny but I guess randomly getting your ass kicked is a bad thing  Gentleman.    We justed pushed out a beta update on steam which fixes somethings and there are a lot of new things that were added in. Yeah. I needed to use the beta update to get my very professional 'Street Fighter IV FightPad!' to work thanks to Game Maker and its messy relationship with Direct Input.

I just beat Wyatt's play-through today. The fight with Raven really informed me well for future battles. The reward for beating him was ridiculously worthwhile also.

The end kinda jumped out on me, but mostly because all the other bosses trained me up so that the final one was a breeze. Knocked the difficulty up for Reina but wasn't quite expecting it to be so different. Having an assist character straight away and in-fighting from the get go is exciting.
