This is totally about nothing but the coolest dudes in nineties game development. I totally thought that EPIC Pinball was the best PC game ever made until I got that One Must Fall 2097 shareware (then DooM about a month later but isn't relative to the discussion). They were the kings of the shareware era, even moreso than Apogee because their games looked bigger and sounded more exciting, which is pretty much the only thing you cared about when you were a kid with a brand new Pentium. Big and loud. Now look what they are doing; boring space dungeons with boring men in boring space armour killing other boring men in boring space armour. Well I say to hell with that noise, let's play Jazz Jackrabbit.
EPIC discussion forthwith.

Epic Pinball is the best pinball game ever created. I loved the Android the most.

THE Best pinball table ever. The shareware version still works great if you use dosbox. Spend hours playing this game as a kid.

Shareware does indeed work great via DOSBox. Playing it just now made me remember that I never owned any full version of EPIC games since the shareware was enough. That's the way I rolled back in the day, in the year 2008 game demos have nothing on shareware releases.

Also yes. Sad to see I never got a copy of EPIC Pinball. Looks boss. May have to track it down.

There was a shoot 'em up (with planes and stuff) made by Epic. I played it like crazy 10 years ago. Anyone know the name?

It was neat, but I preferred the Digital Illusions games. And Psycho Pinball.

Some of my favorites: Castle of the winds, Dare to Dream Dare to Dream and the registered versions sure were odd (in a good way). Picked them up at KMart 10 years ago for $5 each & well worth the purchase. I don't think I ever finished the last part - anyone know what happens at the end of that black hell-type land the kid wanders through after the super happy cute one?

One Must Fall was friggin' awesome. Too bad the sequel was mediocre at best.

I played Jazz Jackrabbit 2 recently... and it SUCKED. I'm afraid to get the original, because I don't want to risk having my memories tarnished (It was like my favorite game, besides Astrorock, which is still good)

I still play JJ2 with friends on Hamachi sometimes. It's kinda fun. The nostalgia certainly adds to the entertainment value.

I replayed the frist recently. Holds up pretty damn well, actually. I play on Turbo now, instead of Easy, so it's rather difficult. Heh, Turbo.
Mm, I was really impressed with Jazz 2 at first, but it got old fast. Especially with the RUBBISH bosses. RUBBISH.
