I once actually saw a spambot that did pretty much exactly that, minus the introduction. It picked a random sentence out of the last post, repeated it and put an "ok" behind it.

If I wrote a spambot, it would use forum post data as training data for a Markov process-type-thing by which it would select words or groupings of words.

If you got the amount of training data right, it would actually be really hard to tell apart from someone with really poor English. I'd get it to throw in the occasional "sorry for bad speech english."

I think if all the coders on this forum here worked together you could easily create a spambot with self-awareness and intelligence.

And then one day when you are both riding your hoverboards together he will suddently start to spit out all sorts of ads for viagra and won't ever shut up.
