Hey guys.

So i put together a little vid of my progress. This is my first Video  Beer!  I set this lvl up to test the art and get the basic movement of the character working. Sorry it's at true res and a bit choppy.Sad. I normally play it at 800x600 but i could not get a good video capture settings. I will try and get some better quality vids together.

While the animations ate fantastic the transitions between them are a tad choppy.  Also I expect the gameplay to be rather slow after seeing that video.  the character moves really quickly and the backdrop you put so much effort into is going to waste scrolling by.  If the Character is going to move at that speed then am I safe to assume you'll have enemies and other things to act as road blocks.

Yes you are correct there will be plenty of fighting/roadblocks along the way and the lvls will be loooong so the speed is ok for me atm, but this is just an art test so it all may change.Smiley As for the anims , there will be transition anims but i'm not going to be working on them until the primary anims are working as intended. nothing worse than having to change a primary anim and then having to redo 10 transition animations.:0   but rest assure they will be there.!

hey guys.


Here is the second art/platform test for  The 7 towers.
This is a test of one of the interior towers checking levers, chests and platform movement, and of course what it will look like. In the actual game enemies and spawners will guard all the levers and Bathoryn will have to fight them in order to switch them on. Particles and animations are still basic.





Onto Combat next.!

Looks really cool in motion, though a frame or two for transition between the standing and running would be nice.

I'd also prefer if the sword had a slightly narrower blade to make it look more like a claymore and less like a cleaver, but that's just a personal preference.

I think i might agree with you about the sword. I will be starting combat stuff next week, so i may throw a few swords in there.

And as i had mentioned a few posts ago there will be transition animations.

and as soon as i start combat i'm guessing they will all change.!

Great great great atmosphere!
I missed this mood in games..

I do not know if this is the right way to do it, but this devlog inspired me to compose this little mini theme. It's a little short and does not include much variety, but I felt that I should do that quickly.

Hey guys. So before moving onto to combat i wanted to do a redesign the main character Bathoryn. So i thought i would get a concept sheet together and  get some feedback about which ones people like more. Me i like 12  i think.Smiley
