Hi!

I presented last year in the forum our game during our crowdfunding campaign. So we are one year later and the game has grown quite well! We are happy to announce you the release of Deadlock Alpha version, a Speedrunner mixing FPS, Platforming, Puzzles and featuring Leaderboards, all of that funded thanks to crowdfunding!

In Deadlock the player must climb as fast as possible a gigantic Tower which is set in a vaporous universe lost in the void.
On his way to the top, he will have to overcome multiple obstacles, solve puzzles and face the different robots protecting the Tower: to do that he must use his ‘SwitchGun’, a tool allowing him to activate or deactivate most of the game elements for a little while.

But a video is better than tons of words!

Here we are after 1 year of remote work (each member of the team living in a different city), the Alpha version of the game has just been released on Desura : http://www.desura.com/games/deadlock

This version features 3 levels, 2 types of enemies, 1 new power-up (the ‘Dash’) and the eagerly waited Speedrun mode along with online Leaderboards!
And we plan to add way more content in the following months like:
  • 2 additional levels
  • 2 new enemies
  • more power-ups
  • items to collect
  • cutscenes
  • achievements…

We promised our backers to polish the demo by working 3 more months more on, but as we were adding new ideas/elements to the game we decided to aim for a higher objective and to make a ‘real’ game worthy of being featured on online stores like Desura, GoG or Steam for example: we hope this will become a reality!

Until then we are looking to gather as much feedback as we can to improve the game and that’s why we would like to know what do you think about it.

So you know everything now (well almost everything), we hope you will be enjoying the game.
