Satisfactory Reveal Gameplay Trailer E3 2018
Looks more like the minecraft next gen if redstone was the focus
Starlink on the other hand:
- namedropped atlas
- has three factions of warrior, scientist and merchant + pirate
- has a mysterious ancient robot antagonist faction that you defy on each planet
- seamless space to ground planet
- scanning of animal, resources gathering
It's basically as if the creative director picked the template of nms, filled the blank and tried to make it gameplay, with zero personality and hooks. Looks good but bland.
Also since it's something I want to do too, I can see the decision they are making, like sidestepping the floating point precision by having planet size sub 5km (max 314km² per planet, there is 7), which is already bigger than skyrim in term of surface area (37km²).
