What? It has space ship and you can travel all around the solar system ... it's one variant of teh gameplay, it's as fitting as fractalus in the no man sky almost equivalent that scratch part of the itch. Also if it's inspired by mass effect, it has similar source that inspired those game (star flight and star control).
did you watch the video?

I didn't know Enemy Starfighter was renamed to House of the Dying Sun until just now
I'd been putting off getting House because "I've been waiting for Enemy Starfighter so long..."
