this is the new level editor

so anyway lizzi features a "seamless" open-world (why does every indie 2d zeldalike do fixed screens?), so like usual with something like that you want to be able to stream the world. unfortunately unity does not like instantiating and is unbelievably slow at something so simple so i'm trying to speed it up... i already multi-threaded loading multiple files. i seperated instantiating to multiple frames. that replaced 1 big hiccup with 10 small  frame skips, not good enough. i might have to merge all the tiles into one big mesh before instantiating but that's going to be a lot of redoing code.

Yeah, this looks pretty fun. I like the colors you've got on that house - really bright and interesting, but not annoyingly so. The title screen's lookin' pretty nice, too.

Any plans on what the gameplay's going to be like?
