100x100 is the max, there is also a memory size limit
So maybe it was the size limit. Anyway i think it would be great if the from was telling me about the restrictions. (If there is something, i couldn't see it.) Thanks, that helped a lot xD! |

Uploaded the image to imgur, http://imgur.com/E8jGMCfGot a box with an ex that says "Do" next to it.... image is 100x100 png... ? update: eventually goes to a timeout page, error 524, tried another link on my imgur account itself, same result. Oddly, I can't seem to get the image to be "public" could that be the problem? |

You need to use the direct image URL, not the link imgur generates. Right click on the pic once you've uploaded it and click "copy image URL". then paste into the profile settings on tig. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ in your case that link would be: http://i.imgur.com/E8jGMCf.png |

I just see a blank box under Personalized Picture, no way to upload something.
Me too. Is typing in a url the only way to change your picture? The Personalized Picture option doesn't seem to do anything. |

Yes, uploading a profile picture is disabled for the moment, and linking a picture on a hosting site is currently the only option. Remember to change the https to http in the image link, otherwise it won't work.

That just means it took too long to process your avatar change request, and by the looks of it it worked. Again, our control over the forum's software is minimal, so there's not much we can do at the moment to remedy all this.

Struggling to upload an avatar. 1. Uploaded to to https://imgur.com/ and copied the image address and put that in the required field. 2. Image appears above so seems like it's okay. 3. No other notification appears after this. 3. When I hit "Change Profile". Nothing happens. Avatar is not changed. I tried 100x100 and 64x64. Tried png and jpeg. Even TinyPng'd to crunch down its file-size. But still having problems. Anything I might be doing wrong? |

As was stated several times in this thread, you need to use http links instead of https. Simply change your avatar's url to start with http instead of https.
