Odd, I thought the voting should have closed already.

It goes by the forum time in the upper right.

HOLY SHIT I made fourth place Shocked?!?  Hot damn!  That's better than I could have ever hoped for.  I placed over games that I think are WAY better than mine, but thanks anyway to everyone who voted Smiley

And congrats to Xerus... Verge was my #1 pick as well, it's a well-deserved win Beer!

Thanks! I still think that for the kind of game The Lake is, Defect was more interesting, though. That one and Eversion were my two top picks.

Congrats Xerus!

Since I'm here I'll tell my two favorites for this one where Dorror and Eversion. Hideous Sound in the Dark and Defect where the ones who followed.

Hey, it's over!

With Verge, I keep dying on the stage right after the frustrating "hover the box over your head and thrust 3000 feet in the air" level. Other than that, it seemed pretty neat, funky music and cool artwork. I think this game might have been a lot more enjoyable if there was a save functionality or if getting comboed by about 5 Soul Suckers at once didn't game over you (because it's not always easy to break free!).

Eversion was also fun, but a lot of the jumps were very tedious (because the very precise hitbox on the player), and other than that it was good. Quite the interesting transition from friendly, happy quest to collect the gems, to demonic screaming hands and baddies bleeding everywhere and you running for your life. I also loved the random "Give Up" and "Behind You" messages you got when dying in the Lovecraftian worlds.

I still need to play From Primordial Egg!

That's actually the last level of the game, so it's pretty tough.  (Well there's one more, but it's just a walk right map that shows some gravestones and then the game ends.)
