In case you're wondering, with all this marketing stuff, we are working on the game behind the scenes: modeling the apartment with Theresa Schlag, and writing the text for the voice-overs with our anonymous writer.
But it's also a lot of fun to make up stories for a small free game that takes place in the Sunset universe and to create illustrations to spread around. I hope we can continue doing that and lack of budget doesn't force us to focus only on the game.

Congrats guys! Just read your kickstarter page, very cool! Question, since I'm european too, why did you decided to go with Kickstarted instead of Indiegogo? I was thinking in the future to do a campaign, but I want to avoid the hassle of getting a US bank account... And now, on to backing the game! Looks great, can't wait to play it and see the story

We just chose Kickstarter because it seems like a much bigger platform. Plus we really want Americans to enjoy the game (since they provide half of our income).
But it is an enormous hassle to set up the US company, bank account and Amazon's payment account (and one of us is an American citizen even). I can't recommend that. It's possible now to run a Kickstarter out of the Netherlands or the UK. That probably makes more sense.

Hi Michaël. Having been subscribed to your mailing list since 2006, I was really excited to read today's mail. On paper, I find it your best idea ever. I've just looked at the tumblr, and it's beautiful. I just had to share this with you, although you probably already know it, but just in case: a very crazy piece of Latin American, Cold War, 70's futurism, technological madness. Hope you like it. March 2015! Long time, but it will sure give you time to fill the game with great stuff. EDIT: fixed the link.

Happy to see our little mailing list works. It's such an embarrassingly crappy script. Thanks for the tip. Hadn't seen this yet. How very odd. March 2015 is not so far from now, where I'm standing. We will be working very hard!

I'm in, but you already knew that I love the dreamy future architecture of that era. Best of luck!

The Sunset Kickstarter reached its goal in 41 hours and 24 minutes. Proteus creator Ed Key managed to round off the number perfectly. We're extremely grateful, relieved and even a bit surprised by the enthusiastic response Sunset is seeing. It increases our determination to make Sunset the best thing it can be. To that end, if you can, please back the Kickstarter too, or tell all your friends who might want to. Thanks! Devlogging will resume shortly as we are concepting and building the game environment behind the scenes. Hopefully screenshots of work-in-progress soon.

Love the apartment, it's definitely got a bit of that retro futurist vibe to it. Good luck with the Kickstarter (not that you need luck now) and consider yourself backed!

Thank you. We consider ourselves very lucky, absolutely! We can definitely make Sunset now. A weight off our shoulders! But a bit more budget would be great to really make the game just right. You know how it is. So I think we'll be trying hard to get everyone on board. Your help is deeply appreciated!

Very nice work! I really like the font you've chosen for the game. Bit of Bauhaus-style.
You don't yet have a playable prototype, don't you?
