Hey guys,
We're developing a new indie survival game, called "The Survival Games." The Survival Games is a FPS PVP Survival arena game, or a Player vs Player vs Nature game. The game was originally inspired by the combat of The Hunger Games, but quickly evolved from there with inspirations from many other games, books and original ideas. Honestly, how did it take this long for someone to take that idea and run with it?

Prototype trailer. Please watch in 1080p and bear in mind that these are not final graphics or animations.
Core features:
Relatively short death matches, no long journeys to find other players to fight.
Hunting animals and gathering resources
Crafting weapons, items, food and hang gliders
dynamically affect the environment. Chopping down a tree actually brings down a tree(Looking at you Rust)
Natural disasters - Tornado, tsunami and more
Short term alliances
Supply drops
Options to have altered rule sets on servers for different experiences
and my favorite.....The first FPS PVP game to feature complete VR immersion. We are working with Oculus and Virtuix Omni to fully integrate support for the Rift headset and Omni Treadmill controller. It's entirely optional, but an experience unlike ANYTHING before.
We are still debating the director mode, allowing a player to control supplies, weather and more. We won't add it until we can be sure it is balanced and can't be abused. Emerging gameplay is a focus for us. By giving the players a flexible toolset they can apply strategies we never saw coming. Use a tool to scale a cliff face to get a perspective on the battlefield. When at the top you spot a lone survivor limping from a realistic leg injury. You only have minutes before he finds a way to treat his injury and regains some of his mobility and lethality. You craft a makeshift hang glider and swoop down on him from above. However, he's one step ahead of you. Having read the signs of an impending tsunami, he placed himself just past a protected cove on the beach, leaving any attackers directly in the path of the deadly wave. How do we know moments like this will happen? We already have a functioning prototype! The team has spent their own time and money building a rough prototype to show the media and investors just what we can make with a little support.

We have a small goal on Kickstarter and it ensures that we can purchase the animations and art that we need. Exceeding the goal will allow us to improve every element of the game as well as finish it faster. Our current timeline puts us with a playable closed alpha by the summer. As we speak we are working on getting the Omni team to show off our game at GDC.

Help make this game a reality, it really needs support from you guys to make it a reality!
