Not the final version, but maybe I should stop on this stage...

08--n7.r6-79.84.1337, great work! I love the style, pretty color choice, very expressive lines. I admire when artists can make lines say so much(especially the skin fold lines around the elbow and chest or how the knee lines do most of the "heavy lifting" of defining the knee) As for me, here's a screenshot showing my current game's style:

I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of it either, but still I love the lines. I wish I could get mine to look that nice but I suck at it and rely on the curve tool in MSpaint for my in game character art XD Oh that reminds me, here's a small part of a higher res art I did last week... (Coincidentally, he has a hat w/ ribbon) And also, another thing for my current game~ An anime inspired "love" background

What exactly can you say? My English is not very good, and I'm not sure about the context of your comment. Is it good or bad?

There's no nice way to express why it's making me uncomfortable; it reads to me as an unsettling cross between an adult woman and a sexualized toddler

yeah, it pretty much looks like a child with weird detailed armpit nipples, toddler feet and man arms. If youre going for stylised sexy chiby you should simplify arms, feet and definitely not draw detailed bikini area stuff. Look up dragon half or other animes, even ones with nudity try to stay away from detailed nipples.

Oh, now I see. Well, what can I say, I didn't plan to draw a toddler. And I don't see the toddler on the picture. I just wanted to draw a character in chubby/kind of dwarf style. But thanks for explanation. you should I should? Why? Only because in some anime artist decided to draw like this? Sorry, but I don't see any logic in this.

It's my choice as author. You can see in this logic or not, your choice.

Oh yeah, that would be super helpful, thanks! Nice sketch there too!
Also, I'd forgotten how much I used to like drawing, so it's nice to get back into it. I'll try doing it regularly from now on!
Wow, I did not know that you were really good at drawing! For a programmer is very rare. I tried to draw in my free times, but it didn't last much. How many years did it take to reach your current level of drawing?

Oh, I’ve been doing it since I was like three. One of my earliest memories is my granddad giving me a tip to improve my drawing actually.

Thought I'd try out rendering AO, depth, and stuff. This is the first pass: EDIT I did the colors this morning.

Hi guys! I'm Igor from LGM Games, and I'm new here. I have been lurking around the forum for a while, but today I have created my profile, so please be gentle :-D Here is artwork from our newest game, Starpoint Gemini 3. The artwork showcases one of the environments from the game you'll be able to visit. I'd really love to see what do you guys think!
