Hi guys. After collecting feedback in several places and adding and polishing quite a few things we're finally officially announcing the release of our very first game: Ship Storm, an endless "runner" for Android. An iOS release will most definitely follow.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.BisonBlast.ShipstormTRAILERBecause a picture is known to be worth a thousand words we figured that a video is worth like 30,000 words a second, so we've prepared a little trailer. You can watch it here:
DESCRIPTIONShipstorm is basically an endless runner game but with ships and rather than tapping to jump/float/roll you have to balance your device to keep your ship from tipping over. Else you can kiss your precious cargo goodbye (which ranges from the innocent average Joe through pirates to bags of garbage). You will also run into numerous hazards along the way (like oddly aggressive seagulls, old naval mines and even more dangerous stuff) which you have to tap or swipe away. Not to mention that the sea itself will go downright insane.
As you can see we went for cardboard visuals (quite obviously inspired by the intro sequence of BattleBlock Theater). There's a decent amount of unlockable ships and crews (each with their own characteristics, all of which are TOTALLY based on serious research) and other equippable bonus items that will give you a boost of some sort or even add some small features. There's also achievements and global ranking.
The game itself is free but there's ads which you can get rid of via a small in-app purchase which as a bonus will grant you access to an exclusive ship and crew.
Shipstorm was developed using a lot of coffee, some energy drinks and Game Maker Studio.
SCREENSHOTSDespite clearly being experts in cinematography we still respect the far less exciting and more traditional screenshot, so here's some still images:
WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDSAs I said, we're working on getting the game to run on iOS devices and sneaking it into the App Store. Additionally we would add more content and possibly features if the game turned out to be somewhat popular.
So, we hope many people will give the game a try and set sail for DOOOOOOOM.
