So.... I just went and looked up dungeonman... it appears to be a text adventure. This game is most definitely not a text adventure. In case you couldn't tell.

i am, in fact, actually blind, and do not understand the difference between visuals, nuance, aesthetics, and mechanics

i am typing in the dark using large mittens that i hit onto a series of cats, which yowl at different pitches that are then quantized and interpreted by a machine that attempts to convert the frequency of each yowl into binary information

which you now see before you, it is a miracle of life

thank you for this information, i will not attempt, any longer, to zork out on this crawl player jame jam, but rather i will use my wits in an active and humble way

This is some work I've been doing trying to make a good looking CRT screen effect for Edelin Tales. Not quite there yet though. I made this in a separate project using a screen shot. If I can manage to get a good looking effect then I will integrate it into the main game. You will be able to toggle it on or off.

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I updated. There isn't much to show since much of what we've been working on is in the back end. Anyway, I think I've found a lore friendly solution to one of the graphics quagmires we were having.


You see, not only could the C64 mix "high res mode" backgrounds with "high color mode" backgrounds, but it could also layer them one ontop of the other using sprites. In the image above you have 2 sprites, the high res one giving the sprite detail while the high color one adds more color.

This makes things a little easier, specially on the over-world map where pixels are at a premium. Also, we are gearing up to do a Kickstarter So I hope you'll all join us for that. ^_^

Hay everyone, I just wanted to let you know that this project isn't dead. When my university commitments started gearing up I had to put this project on the back burner. I changed the percentage complete from 40% down to 20%. Even though a large amount of the artwork is complete I now realize it was a bit silly to count the artwork as 50% of the whole project.

Anyway, now that things have calmed down a bit I'm looking forward to devoting more time to this project.
