I have been working on the items system for three weeks now and it's exhausting. Not to mention October was mainly "loot drop system" month. I'm switching over to more fun stuff and will probably have some new artwork to post here soon.
(update) Working on the Quarterstaff. This is a two-handed melee weapon that can be used by itself but also important in crafting other items:

I like the result, but it could be way better with some custom blending between the different animations. I figure for completeness I'd render out the double-throw. Decided not to go in this direction and therefore didn't spend any time polishing it.

In this pose, it seems like the left arm isn't holding the staff. O -/-`--· / \
For some reason I'd like to see a bent arm "<" (even if it isn't "connected" that well at the top) O -<-`--· / \ Or maybe a sans-serif version of "L"? O -L-`--· / \ Or is there another similar character?

That looks a bit better than "/" but it has the same issue (at least for me) that if the hand isn't placed on the staff, then it looks like the staff is squeezed between the arm and the body. The curly ones seem look better because it sort of implies a hand holding the staff. O -{-`--· / \ I was playing around with a few ideas ... that even if don't work are at least a bit comical. Big fist: O -6-`--· / \ Shield: O -@-`--· / \ p.s. Hmmm ... just noticed that the fonts are different in a post when composing a message. I'm guessing you can still "see" what I mean.
