Are you going to add other types of weapons like bows etc. ?
Not really. Bows in particular would require a lot of work like specific animations. Even stuff like swords will probably be pretty rare in the actual game. Instead weapons will generally fall under the category of generic sci fi armaments (laser guns for ranged, batons and crowbars for melee).

I've been having some trouble staying motivated with this project, but hopefully will be getting back into it soon. In the mean time, here's a gif showing the interior layout and exterior of a spaceship. I'm not too happy with how the exterior looks (and obviously it isn't textured yet), so that's something I'll have to work on more.

Hey there. I want to make a start on Procedural generation, and I tried using this http://bigbadwofl.me/random-dungeon-generator/ that you gave as an inspiration, but am having trouble converting the algorithm over to gamemaker. Are you willing to give away some of the source code?

Hey guys, thanks for the interest!

@Jimmius: Sent you a message

@Flatgub: Unfortunately this project is abandoned for the moment, as I haven't touched gamemaker in quite some time Sad
