We are a small team of indie game developers from France and Canada and we are proud to present our first game, a side scrolling 2D Game with destructible environment made with Unity. Zombie Night Terror is a lemmings-like game, but different in many ways. The aim is to lead your brainless army throughout various environments in order to annihilate humanity! But be careful, Humans are not so defenseless and they dispose of various weapons and firepower to destroy the undead menace. So! How will you eat them all? Mutations: The player will dispose of many mutations to overcome human defenses and to progress through the levels. Mutations can be combined to have new tricky and devastating effects. Contamination: The player can choose one healthy human to become sick and to turn him into a zombie. It could be anyone, you just have to choose the poor victim and enjoy the massacre. Each human killed will turn into a new zombie, that’s how you will grow up your army. Level Design: Each level brings a situation with one or more puzzles to resolve. The player will have various tools like mutations and traps to experiment different solutions in order to convince the humans that being a zombie is cool. Atmosphere: We tried to add a dark, gory and funny graphic aspect to the game with a lot of blood, lots of human characters with many animations to make the world as alive as possible. And we'll try to focus on humor. We are expecting a release before the end of this year on PC and Mac - and maybe Linux - but nothing is definitive on that matter.

Wow. This looks amazing. Those animations are great, and the limited palette is awesome. I was also a hug fan of Lemmings growing up, really looking forward to trying this out!

That sounds like an excellent game-mechanic! I'd be a willing subject for zombification / testing :-)

Those animations are mega smooth and you're doing that whole Pixel Art 2.0 thing really well. I have faith in this stuff, especially visually.

Really love the look of this and I'm very interested in learning more about the lemmings like gameplay.
Are you using Unity's built-in 2D framework, or a third party like 2D Toolkit?

We are using 2D Toolkit. When we started, Unity 4.3 was not available and some useful functions like attach points made us stick to 2D Toolkit.

I think it offers a lot more on top of Unity's 2D offerings. The tile map editor and attach points are clutch, for sure.

I am in love. Tell me when you start your Kickstarter and I'll throw money at it like the chap who's second from the left in the bottom image.

Hi everybody Here is a concept art of the boomer mutation. Maybe it could be different ingame because we are testing particles systeme for body pieces and blood. But we want something natural and smooth for blood so I hope we could have something similar just with particles.
