"Videogame marketing and PR"
by Scott Steinberg

One the website we read:

Quote
The definitive guide to mastering the essentials behind making, marketing and promoting product to the world’s most exciting entertainment business – the $13.5 billion computer and videogame industry – is here.

Learn to:

    * TOP THE CHARTS
    * MAKE HEADLINES
    * IMPROVE REVIEW SCORES
    * INSPIRE MILLIONS OF FANS
    * ENHANCE JOB PERFORMANCE

Includes:

    * IN-DEPTH HOW TO’S
    * EXPERT ADVICE
    * HANDS-ON FEEDBACK
    * PROVEN TIPS
    * CEO-LEVEL INSIGHT

I saw this on GameDev.net, along with a note that preorders for free copies are made for Game Industry Pro's. I wouldn't be posting this if it weren't for the fact that I wrote them, and to my surprise I got a positive reply immidately from A PERSON (not a machine Tongue).

Hehe.  I don't know why, but I enjoyed that bullet point.

May be I am in a state of madness, but on the website I read

        FREE *
 to game industry pros

  -----------------
  |               |
  |               |
  |               |
  |               |
  |               |
  |               |
  -----------------

   (Some price$)

* shipping & handling

So these are not really free copies? or am I getting something wrong?

That's a plus beside the shipping and handling, not a *.  The * point is at the bottom of the page, in grey.

"All working computer and video game professionals are entitled to one complimentary ebook edition."

I just realized, that's a clever way to collect contacts.  Especially given he's in to consulting with/for developers, publishers and investors.
