The navigation always being there is a great idea. Looks excellent.

It's nice that you went even halfway towards light on dark, but the actual content is still eye-strain -inducing screen-pretending-to-be-paper black on white.

Do you use a CRT monitor or something?

What does that have to do with anything? Any monitor that's backlit (i.e. every monitor) shoots light into your face.

The screen is not a piece of paper, don't treat colors like pigments.

I use a CRT and I don't really know what Core Xii is getting at.

The TIGforums are black on white, are they not??
How can it induce eyestrain on a blog but not on a forum?

Incidentally, I think the new site is hot stuff.... can't wait for the forums to be up and running though!

Who said it doesn't? But I don't see a thread about the layout of the board, so there's nowhere for me to criticize it now is there?

I really like it, but there is something jarring about the way the white is on the grey, something very off. Core Xii is on to something, I'm not sure what it is.

First: Alec, that new site is most certainly "Savage."

Second: WTF is wrong with TIGS current graphical layout?  I happen to quite like it actually (and I'll bet I'm not the only one), so let's not go messing with it.
