Hey everyone my name is Alex and I am hear to improve my art. Want to get better at animation and drawing.

I want to keep this daily!

A bigger first post from some stuff from past month.

Was looking at HLD frame by frame as I made this.

Was looking at Paul Veer work yesterday and worked on this.

Apparently this is a gif, ill have to fix it later.

Began studying some HLD Beta yesterday.

The art itself is pretty cool and all, but you should really focus on finishing these loops.

s-spooky g-g-ghosts: Thanks buddy! Hope to be able to show something soon.

Had the day off work today and got further on this. Still lots of work to do, needs more breakdowns I think. Kind of like how she walks, but I think it could be more clear. I see her as being angry.

Started sketching ideas for an image, sort of liked the shapes in this one. Hard for me to visualize it!

This is really good. I think the rest of her hair needs to move and bounce, apart from that one spike over her shoulder. On the other hand, that one spike is moving somewhat oddly - there's no reason why it should tilt. Her walking gait also feels kinda lop-sided, like she's got a limp (or is walking with "swagger"). It might be because you have an odd number of frames in your gif. Oh, and you might want to tweak the colors a bit - the dark blue and dark red are both pretty close together and close to the outline color. You could use the hair's blue for the skirt color.

The animation's very readable, nonetheless. Nice work!

That laser fire GIF in particular could be really cool - just finish it up and make her bend into it more-so.

That Namba Aruki style walk. Oh I meant the effort this artist went through to research the proper walking style of a Samurai must've taken research time, or very close observation of a real samurai walking.

The walking style reduces the upper body motion considerably, which may actually be more confusing and difficult to critique. If I thought this were a normal walk, I'd probably misjudge by saying it looks entirely weird.
