i strongly urge everyone here to consult with a medical professional, instead of an internet message board for hunch backed computer oafs, when making any kind of decision involving radical diet changes.

Surely you're not referring to me as I am a computer oaf with excellent posture. And a nice ass~

But I agree with that.

The problem with your advice is, nutrition and health is not an adequate subject for science. Even professionals are not immune to misinformation, limited knowledge, and financial interests. Instead, listen to your own body and explore your own mind-body connection to find the right track.

Still going strong with that mind-body connection, eh? Carefully chosen words arranged in certain orders can still imply irrational things.

Feel free to elaborate what seems irrational to you.

Trusting sensations over medical science is irrational. I also suspect you have a psychic connection with your interdimensional counterpart, but I'm not sure.

I see. You prefer to put blind faith into "medical science", just because the word "science" is in it. I recommend you to look up how "medical science" is actually conducted, and how many epidemiologic studies (weak contributors of evidence) are involved in a lot of conclusions doctors make. Trusting sensations is a perfectly reasonable guideline if we don't know any better. In general, sensations are not smoke and mirrors (except for certain ill/unhealthy people, or weak people on drugs), but a profound result of your feedback system which is reflecting your state. You can use that feedback to stabilize yourself, just like in regulation technology.

The dopamine system causes reward stimulus for "treatments" that may be harmful to someone who doesn't know what they're doing. Just like over-exertion in exercise, what feels good at the time may not be beneficial, so there is a very good reason to go with medical best practices. I could make the same argument about programming, or really any endeavor.

It is not as easy to fool the feedback system, unless you actively try to do so. And it is your responsibility to develop awareness for your body. On the other hand, a lot of medical advice by doctors will stand on shaky ground due to weak science (plus financial interests). Important to consider, you are an anecdote, not a statistic. For example, consider that any dietary advice might not apply to you the same way as to someone else. In the end, you have to listen to your body.

So I've kind of decided on trying to gain a bit of fat back, I'll probably(actually will for sure) lose some abdominal definition but I should also make some fat gains on my thighs and ass which is what I'm shooting for. Like they're muscle-y but idk I wish they looked softer you know?

But then again I feel like if I do that I'll miss being more lean. But then again I feel like I feel like I might like it better that way. I'm going to try taking it slow and eating a little something sweet + high in calories each day. Probably some fruit. But sometimes maybe a donut or something.

Edit: But I'd prefer to do like healthy high carb things... so probably
-Bananas, apples, pineapple, other sugary fruits
-Rice, oatmeal, etc...
-Potatoes(russet, sweet, etc...)

Anything else I'm forgetting?

Going with a donut-like snacks probably won't make me become a thiccer snacc(well thiccer in the way I wanna be)

@velocirection

can someone just say no, stay ripped, it's a pretty good look?

The information in this video is pretty logical. Yet it doesn't talk about carbs. So I'd amend it carb + enough calories = increased mass.

True, should try eating more calories in general. Thanks for the vid :3 but she's omitting some of the best exercises for your thighs and ass- squats and that glute extension!

Is that a bad thing ;3

Now instead of my back I mostly focus on relaxing my eyes regularly. Every muscle that's too tight feels sore when it's first relaxed and it's also difficult and requires the same level of concentration that starting to flex a new unused muscle does.

Also while I maintain posture as much as I can there seems like there's a reasonable limit before I'd have to shift.

Day two of really trying to up my calorie count. I think PBJ on whole wheat bread is a good high in calorie(and high in healthy!) food. I estimate one would be probably about 500-600 calories depending on how much peanut butter I put on. I like a lot~

(Using sugar free preserves... why the hell do they put so much sugar in jelly/jam? I'd like SOME sugar but jesusaurus christ they put like 13 grams of sugar in one serving. But to add a bit of sweetness, I put some honey on it)

Also, eating bananas as an easy snack. Boiling some red potatoes as we speak. Another good way to add calories to food, put cheese and or butter on it- originally that was a good way to add fat when on a more strict keto diet. But it also works for increasing calories :3

Basically trying to avoid refined sugar for the most part.

That sounds pretty good! I need to get a blender... the PBJ sandwich feels like another meal. A "Smooth Joe"(what I've decided to call your smoothie) sounds pretty good.

I should also mention I'm snacking on some mixed nuts. Sadly they're the kind of nuts that come in a tin and aren't attached to a cute guy.

I am going to the gym 3 times per week, eat health (a lot of fruit and vegetables), travel on weekends and always take the stairs instead of lift.
