I am very, very excited for this to come to the wiiU. I love that you have not specified a gender for the 'rambunctious' kid too!

Thanks JctWood! Yeah, our artist did an awesome job for the girl character. We'll be getting her in the game soon and will post some screenshots and videos of her here!

We've uploaded some video overviews of our two types of levels. Challenge levels are focused on precision platforming (and doing them as fast as you can!) and exploration levels are more about exploring every nook and cranny, finding collectables and collecting explorer medallions. We also show off our co-op prototype in the last video! We think it could be a really fun addition to the game. You can read more in our updates on Kickstarter. Let us know what you think!

Crap. I missed this or else I would've shared the heck out of it. Just clicked the link to see that you didn't make it. How come you haven't said a word for two months now? Are you guys okay? What happens now? Did you get the money that was pledged anyway? Dunno how the site works.
Anyways, I do hope you won't feel too discouraged and keep working on this because it's going to be amazing if you do, and perhaps you can throw a second campaign at some point later into development or get funding from elsewhere.

This looks so cute and fun! Will you by chance ever need a voice actress? Also, I LOVE that this is for the Wii U. I'm always looking for indie titles for it.

The animations and character movement look great in the Steam trailer. The game has come a long way since I last saw it!

This looks absolutely beautiful. I really REALLY dig the explorer vibe you are going for with the airship and what have you. Fantastic stuff.
I would like to point out one thing I noticed during the Cozy Canyon video with co-op: the camera angle stuff looks really funky to deal with and was a bit jarring just to watch. If the slightest of movements by one of the players is going to turn the camera angle, that could really make things frustrating as far as controls go. Perhaps the angle should stay mostly fixated and the field of view should just expand and contract, and the angle could be readjusted only by direct player input? Just a thought.

Hey all, We just posted a big update over on our Steam Early Access forums: http://steamcommunity.com/games/poi/announcements/detail/883079388281108170Probably the biggest news is we now have enemies in the game! The talented nipoco has been providing the models, rigs and animations and using Unity's mechanim system to get them up and running. If you need some 3D art, definitely check him out! We've been using Playmaker for basic AI control. For enemies, we've been surprised at how even the most simple behaviors can add a lot more depth to our levels. It may seem obvious, but anything that is slightly interactive just makes everything much more enjoyable. Now that we have a first pass in, we'll play through our levels, tweaking their behaviors and positioning. We've also been doing a UI reskin and working on the ending of the game!

Hey all, It's been a while, but Poi is finally finished! We're leaving Steam Early Access on February 1st. Here's our launch trailer: New website: http://www.poi-game.comSteam Page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/401810/We're busy finishing up last minute bugs, but we've got hundreds of screenshots of our progress through the last 2.5 years that Pawl and I want to go through and post a kind of post-mortem / dev log thing. We think other indie devs might find it interesting!
