--------------------------------------------------------

i work in my freetime on a roquelike dungeon crawler with random levels. my inspiration comes from the binding of isaac , endless of the dungeon, ftl and for the action fighting system dark souls.

i work now a half year i think on my game.. 2 friends of mine helps me with grafics.

i use unity 3d and playmaker for the development .. because i am not a programmer .. i am a 3d artist ..but i have no programmer ..so i must programm by myself

Wow this is actually impressive work for "free time", how long have you spent on this?
My only complaint would be the language barrier in general.

Reminds me of Late 90s/early 2000s fantasy games, especially Thief and the early Elder Scrolls games.

Voice was too quiet to hear anything on that video but that game itself looks further along than I was expecting.

I'm sure you'll be fine tuning it but for a real time combat game I presume there will be plenty of options?  You mentioned dark souls which works because it has rolling and parrying, etc, on top of the attack/block standard.  Will you just follow that lead or include something new maybe?

Really loving what Im seeing here! Good work so far!

A few things I felt compelled to ask...

1- Will there be other forms of weapons available? Such as clubs, hammers, bows/crossbows, daggers and gauntlets(primarily armour for DEF. But could also boost empty handed attacks)?

2- In your "new weapons" video. I noticed that in one room when you picked up what looked to be a heavier claymore-like sword. The character was only holding it 1-handed. With a shield. Will there by any chance be a "change" to this? Where the player is forced to make crucial decisions on whether or not to lose their AGL or SPD. And an equipped shield. Along with its DEF stat boost. In favor of more ATK from any 2-handed/heavy weapon?

3- Will the player also be able to hold onto and be able to quickly switch weapons on the fly? Like say, I see an enemy that really looks like a complete pain in the 4-point. I can pelt it with arrows or bolts from a distance and close in when safe to do more damage with a melee attack.

4- And lastly. Will the player be able to learn and cast magic?

Hi Phyerboss

thats really good questions.

1. it will be other forms of weapons ..hammers clubs and others .. the plan is to make this weapons slow but powerfull. We dont plan to add bow crossbow for the player but for the enemys.

2. thats a really good idea .. i will think about it ..at the moment you can only use one handed sword and shield.

3. i dont think so ..but you will have other options to chage your fighting tactics ..i think about heavy slow attacks

4. you will found magic scrolls with powerfull magic or other items to use.. (novas , fireballs, arcane , ice.. summoning scelletons, bombs) ..at the moment the plan is you can only carry one scroll or item to use.

overall:

Our Problem is that we are a 3 men team that make this game in our free time .. beside our other real life Wink and we want to make the game good with a good balancing and we want to finish the development in 1 year. we dont can make the fighting system so complex like in dark souls or bloodbourne ..we dont have enough time / money / skill Wink  ..but i will do my best for a unique and nice gaming experience.
