Hello,

Hello fellow devs,

We are two ex-Blizzard dudes working on our first title at www.awfullynicestudios.com

We are happy to announce our first Title currently in progress:

Here is a weapon Demostration video

The Game is basically about Pestcontrol with machine Guns in space.
The Core mechanics are inspired by the old arcade shooter "Super Pang" where you can only shoot vertically but with a modern twist to it.
The Player will take role of Harry "The Exterminator" who get's called in by scientists on a spacestation where experiments on Alien Bugs have gone horrible wrong.

We showed a small prototype at Gamescom and were super excited and humbled to recieve the Big Indie Pitch Award & GDC 2014:

Here are a few first impressions:

I love this for several reasons.

Animation and action seems juicy.

Even though you're not using pixel art, you didn't resort to badly designed vector art.

Expressive character.

I support this wholeheartedly.

The only thing I don't like is that it's for mobile :/

Thanks for the feedback @Storsorgen,

Sorry, we should have mentioned it here. We are aiming for a Steam release first and then mobile.
Going to start the greenlight process beginning of next year. Hope we can get trough.

Here is a little enemy preview:

Yep. That death animation is bananas! Also, I love that you have a 'limited' control scheme going on with the vertical shooting. Simple mechanics are the best cause you can create very complex and fun gameplay based on just that! Definitely following!  Noir

Damn, the animations are really juicy, awesome job man
Im just a little skeptical about the gameplay like if is it going to be your standard mobile repetitive stuff?
Anyways, that doesn't matter because this looks amazing!  Kiss

Saw this on the GIF thread, I thought it was called "the bug catcher", which I thought had rather a nice contrast to it!

Looks awesome, following Smiley
