From the flames of an old discarded GameMaker file rises the phoenix of a brand new GameMaker: Studio project.

Reboot Robot was a game that I put on hold a little over a year ago to explore some other ideas. Now the time has come to return to the project. I've received funding to turn the concept into a reality. Some more information here (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=44936.0)

I'm beginning a devlog to try to get some feedback throughout the development process to help me make it a better game.

Here is a link to my website containing all the history of the game for those who are interested (http://www.blurrygames.com/games/reboot_robot)

To get started I thought the best course would be to get some feedback on the project from where I've left it off, which can be found here (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=44971.0).

Thanks for reading more updates to follow soon.

It looks great so far!

I tried the previous demo you put out of the game and it was fun! I found that the controls felt quite slippery, which made it hard to complete a lot of the levels. I assume you'll be putting in a tutorial level to introduce the game mechanics to the player?

I look forward to seeing the progress! Grin

Yeah a tutorial stage is a must for a game like this I think.

I want the player to learn how to control the game properly because in all likelihood the game will be difficult and I don't ever want players to feel like it was the controls fault they died.

Cheers for your interest Smiley
