Hi everyone!

I've been into games ever since a got a Commodore 64 for Christmas quite a few years ago. I have worked professionally as a game developer, developing casino style games. Now I'm trying to do a few small games for fun on my spare time.

Looking forward to be part of this community!

Hello fellow devs and gamers!  I'm Danielle, one half of our husband/wife studio End of the Line Studios.  We are launching our debut game "Possession 1881" on June 5.

How did I get into gaming?  I was "allowed" to watch my older brother play if I was good when he was babysitting.  I watched the first Street Fighters, Mike Tyson's knockout, The Three Stooges, Donkey Kong... I think it was on an atari, but I'd need him to clarify, since I wasn't allowed to touch the machine!  Then I was a NES obbsessed kid with way too many hours of Mario Brothers, who blew my allowance buying cheat guides so I could beat my brother's scores.  Countless hours on Zelda, Civ, Sim City, and Myst followed, and then in University an unneeded but much enjoyed addiction to Guild Wars and WOW.

I played around with Photoshop in Uni, and then Blender post uni, and then we both played around with Unity for a decade.  I now finally can actually create something from start to finish that doesn't look like crap (or at least I hope not!)  I do all the 2d and 3d assets for our game and marketing, and my husband codes.  I like coding, but I am just way too damn slow!

Nice to meet you all and looking forward to being part of the community.

Hello!

My name is Michael (or MichaƂ) form Poland.

I'm more of a reader than gamer, but i'm doing my best to fill the gaps in my knowledge.
With my childhood friend, we are trying to develop our first game. Month ago we have ended the project phase and right know we are transferring ideas into the prototype.
Unfortunately first problem appeared, we don't have an artist to complete our "tinity".Thanks to recommendation from the book "Indie Games" by Richard Hill-Whittal i ended up here, with high hopes to find that special someone.

I am Smash Meadbarrel from LemcnSun Entertainment which is a starting indie studio. We develop and publish our own pixel styled games as well as help other indie devs to reach more international audiences. The studio was founded by two gamer-forever old boys, Ben and AJ, in 2019 with a simple goal: to spread happiness and fun.

Hi, I'm Roystan! I sometimes write Unity tutorials on my website, and am currently working on a VR vs PC game called Davigo.

TIG's old style CSS and whatnot makes me feel so nostalgic for stuff like W3Campaigns and Planet Battlefield.

Gentleman Hi everyone! I'm The Spiffing Brit, Cheesy joking.

I'm Kunal, this year I opened my indie game studio: https://www.visionaries.me.
I grew up on a small island in the middle of the Indian Ocean called https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauritius, worked my way up to a corporate job in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saudi_Aramco. Now, I'm taking the leap to follow my passion.

Games has always been my passion. When I was a kid, I was making my own Risk using buttons and some craft paper because it was too expensive to buy. I was making one every 2 months. Fun times... My cousin and I would play around 20 Monopoly matches a day, and we reached a point where we could simulate every move in our head, we just needed the dice  Cheesy

I love strategy games, I played the Dune series, Kill krush and destroy when I was a kid and has been hooked to RTS and tycoon games since.

I'm here to connect with other people like me.

I'm Lee, an aspiring indie developer. I studied Physics at university, and now I'm learning to apply all that knowledge the only way I know how: to try and cram it in to a computer game :d

I'm from the UK, slowly coming out of lock-down (kind of a shame, this has been great for getting some work done), and posting weekly updates about a game I've titled 'Fragile Existence', a space strategy 4X/RTS/Survival hybrid that is pretty much the first season of the Battlestar Galactica re-imagining in game form...

Developing in Unity, modelling in Blender, I'm hoping I'm here for the long haul. Hi Smiley

Hi everyone

My name is Dan, I'm from Denmark and I'm an aspiring Game Developer.
A couple of years ago, I picked up my long lost childhood dream of becoming a game developer.
Due to different instances, I got away from it, but 20 years (later and too late) I'm resuming it!

I have no relevant background and only light web development experiences from my previous job as experience.

In the last two years I've been spamming online courses, made mini projects and it has all been a lonely journey with no one to spare, exchange tips and tricks or get help from.

But maybe this place can fill out that loneliness? :D
I found this place by chance, as I was scouting around if there were any place to share my DevLog, and reddit showed me this.
Already been checking out some other's games and I think I will love this place <3

Hi everyone
Mario here, from Italy. Long time lurker, just subscribed. Long time developer of boring business stuff, in the last couple of years I've been in-and-out of Unity and Blender, just goofin' around. Now I've finally pushed myself towards finishing something, and I'm now beginning to get serious about the game I've been toying around for too long. I hope being part of this awesome community will help me focus and complete something.
Glad to be here, it's a pleasure to meet you all!

Hi all! Hand Joystick We are a small studio based in San Francisco, building our first game as a passion project. Our current project is a VR space noir adventure game called The Rig.

We all started playing games at a young age. Matt remembers playing QBASIC games his dad made on an IBM PC/Compatible. Abe remembers playing Oregon Trail in his school's library. Chris remembers playing Kings Quest on an Amiga 500, shuffling between tons of floppy disks.

It's a pleasure to join the community here, and we look forward to sharing stories from our adventures creating our games and reading about all the other stories out there. Beer!

Hey all!

My name is Josh and I'm an indie developer that works with Unity 3D. I am currently working on my first major game, Atmos. It is a space survival/terraforming game and I am very excited to continue development on it.

A bit about me: I am a full time software developer and have been in that role for about 2 years now. I graduated college in 2018 with a CS degree (no game dev classes), and have picked up game dev as a hobby. My dream is to one day combine my game development and YouTube to turn this hobby into a career!

Happy to be here  Grin

 Well, hello there! Hello~

I'm counting on lots of things here~

Hi all,
my name is Andrey, I'm a programmer. Although like many here, I can do a little in other ranges of knowledge necessary to create games. I started with the BASIC programming language, C++, Half-Life SDK, OpenGL, and so on until Unity (although I tried UE4). Recently, I have been working on projects in the genre of beat'em up and fighting games. And here I want to introduce them to you. One game is a single-player beat'em up game (https://www.indiedb.com/games/adrenaline-fight), and the second is a multiplayer beat'em up game (https://www.indiedb.com/games/fight-arena).

Cheers! Toast Left

Hello! My name is Rita and I'm a beginner indie developer. Little more than two years ago my friend Ksenia and I decided to be gamedevs and started making a PC game - the raccoon simulator Wanted Raccoon.
About a year ago we became bigger, and now we are the whole team. This is our first project and now we work on enthusiasm in the intervals between the main work and personal life. Although it looks more like a hobby we really hope that the words will see and check our efforts.
I read in the Internet that you have an excellent resource where people can get good feedback for their games and find useful acquaintances in the field of gamedev.
I sincerely hope that I'll also can do it and thank you in advance.

Hello!  My name is Ronald J. Fontenot aka Army Turtle!  I am a recent graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Electronic Art.  I am also a self taught composer with 8 years of song writing.  I hold a background in Maya, though it's been a while, primarily doing modeling and texturing.  This is my first attempt at game development so I'm completely new to it.  I'm excited to be here and hope to learn a lot and meet new people Smiley

I started off making children's videos under the name Kids Vids SCJ and YTKidsVids on youtube.  Oddly my channels were taken down and I haven't been able to get them back.  But I have a history in making entertaining content for kids and that's part of the reason I'm moving on to gaming.  I'm not new to code, but wouldn't say I'm good at it, so this will be a learning curve.  I downloaded Unity today and look forward to learning as much as I can about it.

Glad to be here and I look forward to learning and growing!

Hi! I'm Vincent. I've been a professional gameplay programmer for several years, and still am. I still like to make side projects to keep myself busy and learn new things in the process.
