Hi I am smol-asteroid, I grew up playing web games since our pc can't handle standalone types of game. Playing games in websites such as y8, trying different genres and one example of a game is Fireboy and Watergirl, which I played a lot with my siblings.

I am often called Jakeconer online but I am the founder of Prospective Games. We are a group of game designers and programmers who make cheap indie games. I have several games in development right now. As well as several released games.

Hello fellow game developers, My name is Alena, I am an expert artist and user interface developer with 10+ years of experience! It's nice to meet you all I've been working on: - League of Legends (Riot Games) - EVE Online (CCP Games) - Disney Wonderful Worlds (Jam City) - Pathfinder: Kingmaker (Owlcat Games) - and other small mobile games here and there. How did I end up here? Well, the thing is, lately I've been increasingly drawn to collaborating with independent developers, helping them refine their projects. Each project is like a child you nurture and cherish, and I approach every game with special care and excitement! That's why I decided to set up my own Game UI/UX studio and invite like-minded people to join. Being a studio owner isn't easy, but I'm doing everything I can to support my colleagues and collaborate with indie developers. You can check out my studio's website at: https://www.dismantle.studio/I am looking forward for collaborating with each of you and see how I can be helpful. Best, Alena.

Greetings. I'm Murumart, and I make music and "make" "games"? Allegedly. I use Godot Engine in my game-dev endeavors, I feel quite experienced in the scriping part of it - though I do have so much yet to experience. I'm a computer science student as of writing this, so I have a little bit of practice in other programming as well. I gravitated toward games when having to do a programming project for a grade. Music is really fun to make for me. I've made some alright-sounding tracks, I believe. If there's something I'd like to be remembered by, I think it'd be music. But maybe that'll change. I have many Creative Ideas in my head that I'd like to pour into an art form eventually. I decided to try set up a nest here on TIGForums because I really like the idea of, well, forums. I've been hanging around a small-ish Discord to show progress on my game project(s), but a forum's more public nature appeals to me. Because, of course, it feels good to have one's game played. I hope we can have fun. Estonia 20204

Hi everyone,
My IRL name is Ben.
I have a PhD in analytic philosophy, which can sometimes make my taste in games a bit… peculiar. I mostly prefer non-violent, relatively unchallenging games. I like calmly working toward projects with a clear end goal. That said, I do enjoy a challenging puzzle game or two.
I was a professional escape room designer for a couple of years and have made a few prototype board games.
I’m also a self-taught programmer now working on my first big video game project (but more on that later).

A little more about me and my relationship with video games.
3 of my favourite games of all time are definitely: Stardew Valley Subnautica Oxygen Not Included
I also play a lot of casual simulator games, like House Flipper and Thief Simulator.
Some of my favourite ‘AAA’ games would be Mass Effect (especially 1), Fallout: New Vegas, and Dishonoured.
Most unpopular opinion: I kind of loath Skyrim.
Most peculiar game-related brag: I’ve never died in Minecraft in all my hundreds of hours of playing the same life (vanilla survival).
I find it very hard to get into mobile gaming due to the often shallow, excessively monetised content.
I don’t enjoy a lot of online multiplayer stuff, with the exception of Dead by Daylight, which my gf and I have played a lot for almost 6 years.
In recent years, I generally find designing and coding games more fun and satisfying than playing them.

Hello all,
I've been using this website for years now and I felt compelled now-in my thirties-to add my voice to it. I've been making computer games since I can remember. I used to try to sell floppy disks (seriously) with game maker games to kids on the middle school bus. I hit a big gap in game dev throughout my twenties trying to make a career as a touring musician. Several existential crises later brought me back into making games full time. I'm currently making a game as a capstone project for my Bachelor's. I hope to post about it and many other projects I've developed over the years as soon as time permits. I love big crunchy pixel art, high-concept artsy fartsy game mechanics, and FromSoft.
Love, Jesse

Hello, I'm Hugo Cortell. I've spent the past few years working as a designer of various kinds at AAA companies, making games such as Crusader Kings and Project Caesar. Now, with the AAA industry unstable and return to office being the new fashion, I've decided to go solo and see if I can scrape together enough meagre sales to live. I also graduated from Vancouver Film School. I've been making games since early middle school, some of my first and fondest memories are of playing Vice City on the PS2 with my dad as a child. I got into game design because I always liked thinking about rules and systems, no other job lets you do that. I have a passion for Immersive Sim games, and a fondness for Virtual Reality. One day, I'd like to open a studio dedicated to pushing the technical and design boundaries of games. But for now, I'm working on a fairly conservative, low-budget multiplayer game as a solo developer. I'm a pretty bad designer, and a much worse artist and programmer. But somehow I make do. TIG sounds like a great place to receive advice from fellow developers. I'm looking forward to interacting with all of you. Cheers.

Hey everyone! I'm Kevin from Blue Herb Software, which is a two-man team. I'm the primary level designer and artist. Currently working on a precision platformer called Bones Beneath.
When I'm not coding/designing games, I play board games, run Dungeons and Dragons, and write fantasy novels. Current favorite board game is Arcs by Leder Games (if you've been playing this, and loving it, we're on the same wavelength). I've written five novels, two of which will never see the light of day, while two others I'm attempting to traditionally publish.
Anyways, that's enough about me!

My name is Daniel and I am a game designer/programmer. I also do my own 2D art and 3D art when I can. I first got into gaming since my dad got me an SNES with Super Mario World game when I was very little. I got interested in game development since I read a magazine article on development of Crash Team Racing. When I was 11 or 12 years old, I taught myself programming using QBasic, Visual Basic, C and C++ long before I took formal courses in school. I worked on ZBrush since 2021 and left Maxon recently. Now I’m relying on my passion projects for money. I post my recent game projects here: https://animegeek32.itch.io. My last paid project I worked on was See Nothing: https://animegeek32.itch.io/see-nothing. I may resume that project if there is enough interest. I may create a thread for this later. Anyway, time for me to work on more projects.

My name is Taylor and I'm a 3D character artist/animator. I'm also the team lead on a big project at the moment. I've been into games since the N64 came out in the late 90s and have stuck with them ever since. I have played a wide variety of games on a wide variety of platforms; N64, gamecube, PS2, and Xbox 360 are just a few I've used over the years but I'm mostly a PC gamer nowadays. As far as game tastes I don't gravitate towards specific genres really; I've played pretty much everything from Animal Crossing to Ultrakill and everything in between. I always wanted to make games since I was young, but didn't know where to start. I tried some programming courses in college but discovered I wasn't too fond of it then moved on to 3D art and had a lot more fun. After making a few models here and there to get familiar with Blender I tried my luck on the GMTK game jam one year and joined a group to make some neat stuff. You can check them out here if you're interested: https://aclips.itch.io/treasure-rushhttps://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2023/rate/2160127Although I confess I did come here mostly to recruit for my current project, I also browse itch often to see neat stuff people come up with and figured this might be a good place to check stuff out too.

Hey, I'm Przemek. I'm a professional full-stack developer but I like to dabble in gamedev in my spare time. Right now, I'm trying to learn Vulkan using the Zig programming language with the hope of, one day, creating a simple game engine for my own needs.
Cheers

Hey everyone! My name is Doruk and I'm a software developer. My friends and I are trying to make a video game in our spare time. We call ourselves spaghetti software because why not embrace the chaos of the creation process It's all a little new for us but it's all part of the process. Nice to meet you all and looking forward to discussing games with you! Cheers
