Nice to meet you all, and to remember me by, here is a fat bee: I SHALL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU! Um, now, at least. Because that's a Fat Bee. More bees should be fat. Can it still fly, though? EDIT: Seems like I actually remember you. Or, your game, at least. Cure for the Common Cold! Short, sweet. I enjoyed it when I played it oh, half a year ago or so. Cools. Also, Delmore, I've been noticing some nice pixels coming from your end. Keep 'em up!

Obviously I'm new here, so sorry if anything is messed up. I've been visiting the blog for some time now, so i finally decided to join you gentlemen Been making games for a long long time, starting in KnP and The Games Factory as a kid. Now I'm working in Macromedia director and have started to learn some actionscript. Do a lot of physics-based animation

Hey all, I've been reading these forums for a long (LOOONG) time, and I haven't really participate, with the exceptions of this thread : http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=594.15so a response was long, long overdue. Plus, I love the people around, the ideas, the creativity, the art. I love it all. So, there, I said it. Right now I'm working on a little pet project of mine, which I submitted to the IGF competition, in the student category. I'll try to post a few screens in a couple of days. (On a side note, I finally have the scan I promised Derek, but the upload doesn't work, even though it's under 128K. Any ideas?)

Hi, I am Matthias from Germany and I am probably one of the oldest here.
Once upon a time, when I was born, there were no video games at all on this planet. But then I entered school and I stumbled over a Space Invaders machine in the entrance of a hotel. I grabbed all my money (a Deutsche Mark coin), put it into the machine and played about 10 seconds before all my three cannons were killed. Then after some begging, my Mom hands me the pocket money for the next four weeks (2 additional Deutsche Mark coins) and I could play again.
20 seconds and 2 GAME OVER later my Mom told me that this machine is not intended for kids and we had to go. But I know this day would influence my destiny in one or another way. So here I am. Hello tigsource!

Hi there! I'm Chris. I guess I get to provide some background info now. My first game ever was The Berenstain Bears for the Game Gear. It's amazing that I still have an interest in games. Um, my favorite mainstream games are Team Fortress 2, Jet Set Radio Future, Fatal Frame, Super Smash Bros Melee, the Pokemon series, Meteos, Elite Beat Agents, Crash Team Racing, Golden Sun, Rayman Advance, Left 4 Dead, and some other ones that I can't think of for now. The indie games I like include World of Goo (duh), Cave Story (duh), Clean Asia, Bloody Zombies, Audiosurf, Knytt Stories, and probably some more. I make games in Flash (eww, games are only good if they're .exe) and I draw. And I kind of make music too, I guess. Applying to art college, whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. I joined this forum to motivate myself to work on games more, and because I've been a lurker/blog reader for the past few months. That pretty much covers stuff.

Hello, i'm Aaron. I'm a music producer who wishes nothing more than to produce an awe-inspiring, award winning, kick-ass soundtrack for a legendary video game to inspire the masses. I continue to hack away in my dungeon until my services meet the proper calling...

Hi there! Like most of you here, I love playing games, but especially enjoy all the unique ideas that arise from indie games. My background seems to be a bit different from most people here as I'm coming from a business/marketing perspective. Which is important, I think!

Ahoy everyone! I've been lurking here and messing around on gamemaker for a good deal of time, and now that a game is vaguely starting to take shape on my computer screen, it's time to join. I don't have much any experience making games, but i've played alot them. That must count for something other areas skills of mine that could come in handy seem to be experience building robots and experience with music theory. Sadly i can't draw for my life, save my hideous avatar. Anyway, one last thing to everybody on these boards: keep on being awesome!

Being unable to draw is not necessarily a downside, here are plenty of good artists to work with, and judging from your avatar pic you have a style, wich is loads more important than classical "skill". Also, some of the best indie games are made with somewhat poor art *saying no names* So, welcome aboard i guess, if I have the authority to say that(Havent been here for long me neither). Robotics and music theory, sounds interesting

Wut up dawg. My name's Egoraptor but my real name is Arin. You can call me whatever, but not actually "whatever," either "Egoraptor" or "Arin" or "Ego" will do. I am first and foremost and artist and voice actor, but I'm more widely known for my animation and comedy writing. I'm the dude that made Metal Gear Awesome as well as a bunch of other stuff. Games have been my life forever, and it wasn't until I found that games are really important to me that I really found myself and what I'm capable of. I'm a first time game designer, but I've been interested in it for years. Right now I've taken on 2 game design projects, designing and developing the art for both. One of them is a secret, but the other's working title is "Big Dude." I'm sure I'll talk about that more in other threads. =) My favorite games have always been the wacky self contained ones, like PN03 and Space Channel 5. My other favs include Shadow of the Colossus, Gitaroo Man, and classics like Mega Man X and Final Fight. I'm a huge fan of that over the top arcadey theme. I consider them "pure" games, so I'm not much for long, drawn out stories or cutscenes, but I do like character driven games and personality. I love heroines and I think there need to be more of them, for sure. I suppose that's all I have to say for now. I'm sure you'll learn more about me as I contribute, more. This place seems like a happenin' joint, I hope I can fit in. :D
