Hi I'm Niki, i am currently working in the Clinical Trial buisness as a software developer by day. At night and the days i have off, I become a PartTimeIndie and develop games. I already released a small Android game called 4Smile, though it was more of a learning project, it still turned out fine (although it was not a comercial success.

My history in gaming, starts with the atari from my cousin, where we played games like Baller Burg, Stunt Car Racer and many others.

My first own "gaming machine" was a NES. I had a lot fun playing with my friends on the NES, games like Super Mario Bros, World Cup, Zelda ...

Later i got a PC and started to dive into Prince of Persia, Larry Laugher, CS, Startcraft...

I would conside myself to be a gamer, that tries alot of games, but usualy has 1 game he plays alot, which right now is Rocket League.

Currently i am working on a game called "Will Glow the Wisp" and hope to find people like me here and hopefully we can help each other out with our gaming projects.

Have a great day

I'm developing this game and I came here looking for feedback. So feel free to tell me how awesome it looks.

Hello people! Smiley

My name is Andi. I'm a games enthusiast, geek, computer science student, crazy about mus...well.. one after the other.  Shrug

Ok - so I'm from Berlin, Germany. I love computer games. And who is to blame? My older brother! When I was around 7 years old he brought a Sega Master System to our household and it all started. I played the hell out this machine and spend endless hours with a blue hedgehog. (We had the version of the console with Sonic The Hedgehog preinstalled). My brother also let me play the first games on his pc. I can't remember the name but it was a puzzle game where you controlled 3 vikings with different abilities to solve puzzles - does anybody remember?

Okay, so when I got my first own computer I totally fell in love with Point'n'Click adventures. So I played the classics like Monkey Island, Sam & Max, Indiana Jones And The [somehing?]. But then I discovered the Broken Sword games and it had happened to me.

My next console was a Nintendo 64 which probably gave me the most wonderful year (gaming wise) in my life. I literally loved every game on it. Later I got into Playstation, discovered Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid which I'm still a huge fan of.

When I got into programming, making computer games wasn't an options, because I just thought it's so hard I'm able to do this. This phase took a couple of years. But then I started to study computer science with a focus on game technologies and interactive systems. And even in the first couple of month I realized that it's really possible to make your own games Smiley So next to my studies and my job and now try to become an indie games developer.

Besides that I love to geek out, program, read books about programming, and I love music - seriously. I play the guitar, sang in a choir for some years, go to concerts and I just love to discover new music or enjoy old songs.

So - that's about me. Thanks for reading Smiley

Hi!

I'm Silkworm Sweatshop. Born in Sweden in the mid-80s, I was a Nintendo kid growing up and still have a soft spot for the old side-scrollers. Nowadays I pretty much only play indie games though. My background is in music and animation and I've done some board/cardgame design before taking the plunge into digital development. I really like game development since it blends so many things I enjoy doing. I'm currently working on a story-driven action platformer called Pools of Creation.

Hello everyone,

So many years have passed and finally I'm here again, looking at this bar with all the smileys. Here's me, cocopickle, an online addict with an old passion for video games.
When I was 8, my dad arrived at the house with a huge box. I discovered mr computer and his magic.Ah, the early days .. AOL and a weird sound from the modem, playing pokemon or link's awakening under the sheets ...

Then the dreamcast made me love japan when I didn't even know where this country was.

And suddenly, those free games came out of the internet. Made with clickteam softwares mostly, but the one that really got my attention were the Rpg maker ones. The musics and graphics were hypnotic, ripped out of games I didn't even know existed.

So when I was 12 I started making my own games, with basic programming and hours of work, I loved this.
I even made a website with dreamweaver to promote my game, still online: http://genesis.rpg.free.fr

It's a bit blurry... I was playing a lot of games on emulators.. I really discovered a world of games at this time. The avgn really helped me out.

Then, years later, I discovered a new indie scene.

And began slowly to be addicted to this retro-future aesthetic.

I want to make games AGAIN !

Hello, we are Team Modjo, a group of 3 passionate gamers.  Smiley

We are a game developer team with the simple intent: to develop games with devotion and love.

In a time where companies only produce games because of money and thus create unlovely games, which are only complete with additional dlc's, we want to stand out and return to the origin of the game development. We will offer you games in which we put all our energy and which are fair to you, the gamers. That is our promise, because we want that you have fun at playing, without annoying extra costs or unfinished loveless games.  Smiley

Hi I'm Will!  Coffee

I just wanted somewhere to record my thoughts and screenies whilst blowing a lot of dust off a keyboard while I've been busy trying to find my mind again. Long story short: #irc/snes childhood -> army -> college -> cubicle -> lose my **** about life in general while working for soul suck incorporated (my fault poor decision making) -> do a lot of yoga, weed, and tea -> lock self in room cry the boo hoo's out until remembering that there is still a lot of wonderful things on this planet that I love; craftsmanship in code among them. I don't really care if anyone buys my game many months/years/decades from now I really just want that tingly feeling again of "hey this is kinda neat I should share it". That's the best feeling in any vocation in my opinion, and I hope to feel it again during this little endeavor; at least that feeling helps you know you're on the right track. So cheers you lot lets get this prototyping, coffee, and whiteboard all mucked up.

Hello Tig,

Nic here.  Gentleman

Currently part of a big video game company (console stuff but also some mobile stuff) but my heart is really more into smaller and more personal games.
I think in the industry I could be referred as a veteran  (approaching 20 years... scary!) and not really a specialist: I started as a programmer, did also a lot of game design and strategy (The 10.000 feet view which is really interesting but around 10.000 feet from where I want to be).

I was a Master System/Megadrive boy and played a ton when I started to be able to exchange games at a local shop. The first game I bought full price was Earthworm Jim which I loved so much.

Since video games was really my biggest passion I always wanted to work on games but from it seemed impossible from the French backcountry. I tried programming on a TO8D but didn't go far, tries to learn C with a friends but hit a wall of bricks that I could finally climb after doing some computer science and buying a Net Yaroze. This experience lined me up with a internship as a programmer which transformed into a full time job and the rest is just a line of Domino falling one after the other (In a good way of course)

No proper game in development these days but maybe in the future...
Right now I just want to blend in the community and help when I can.

Nic Out.

Hello All,

I am Aman and I live in Berkeley, California. I've been gaming since I was 5, on many platforms including SNES, GameBoy, PS3, and of course on PC. I am a Computer Engineer by education, and work a full time job in software (not gaming).

I have wanted to build games forever. As a school student, I used to write very simple games in BASIC. But now, I am spending more and more time learning to build games, and will be looking to change careers to be a game developer and designer in future.

Here's me in SF:

Hi there!

My name is Daniel and I love making games in pixel art or in 3D (I have no idea about programming). I have taken part in some game jams and some indie games. Right now I work as freelance PR for videogame companies, but soon I want to create my own games (with the help of a coder, of course!).

I hope I can show you soon some material from the games I am working on!

Also I say a lot of nonsense in Twitter [mostly in Spanish}]: https://twitter.com/Eldan_Knight
