Hi all!

We just released our latest game at Free Lunch Design - Sushi Castle.

We wanted to do a really small game that shouldn't take more than a week to finish and the result is a strange combination of peggle, pachinko, pinball and crazy ideas. It's a very short game, but you'll likely to play it over and over again. Smiley

Hope you like it! Feedback is welcome.

Pretty fun!

I don't think the game is well served by having the fire button be the mouse. It just highlights the fact that aiming is out of your control.

It feels really random, even more so than Peggle. But I absolutely love the atmosphere you have going.

I agree with the mouse comment. Also I don't feel like there's quite enough instant visual feedback when you knock out a piece of sushi; when I started playing I was worrying why my ball didn't seem to be having any effect.

Glad you like it! I first came up a rough gameplay idea then I actually used the VGNG to find a theme. It ended up with Zany Sushi Castle from which I took the name and the theme.

It is indeed very random, but I think it is also rewarding to player who invest time into figuring out which shooting angles are most likely to generate long living shots. A random round generates 150-250 points but people are still managing to get up to 1000 points after some practice. Smiley

The mouse vs keyboard issue is definitely worth looking into, as it is (as you say) easy to believe that you shoot where you click.
