Update #13

I got feedback from some players said that the game was slow/boring at the beginning. So I added something that can speedup the game, and also can make the game feels more like a runner:



Collect a red orb and you will run at 1.5x speed. Collect another one then it will be 2x! You will also gain more coin bonus in higher speed.

The green orbs will reduce the speed. I think some players may need them when they found the game is getting too hard and they want to slow it down.

Update #14

It's been a busy and exciting week! We've brought in a lot of cool stuff and optimizations. The new title menu is only a tip of the iceberg:




And here's the changelog of the latest version:

* Integrated new main menu UI;
* Added music track for level 1-1;
* Added more sound FX;
* Added support of gamepad control for all UI;
* Added cursors for different heroes;
* Optimized controls: keyboard keys (WASD, Num 1,2) can be used along with mouse to control; also updated the in-game instructions;
* Optimized controls: the game will slow down when the cursor moves on a hero;

Mostly importantly, download the game and enjoy our composer Kazuhiko's joyful chiptune!

Alright, alright. Guess I'll just have to practice on keeping everyone alive until then...!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get past the third stage. There is a bug where your character starts on the top lane even though there isn't a top lane in existence.  For the first two levels I was able to circumvent this by just switching lanes when I was finally able to control my character, but for the third level with Sherlock, I can't control him before a rock pushes me off-screen. Sad

You mean in version 0.4.6? That didn't happen to us... Did you try to reset the data?

Thanks guys! Here are some more gameplay we added in the latest levels:
(WARNING: tons of heavy GIFs!)

1. Falling Rocks. The underground cave is about to collapse somehow after you killed the rat boss. Run before you get crushed by the falling rocks!



2. Snap Trap. Some goblin-favored hightech product. Caught at once you lose 2 HP. Better let the tough guy suffer the pain.



3. Thief & Treasure Chest. Inspired by the thief carrying bag in Diablo III. Our artist is still working on the animations.

4. Goblin Bomber. Guess what? Since them are too tricky to deal with, the wizard developed his ability to teleport the bombs!



5. Cliffs and Bridges. The flying rat is Batrat, another evil cute creature born in the goblin laboratory.



6. And finally, we have vehicle! Drive the mine train to the deadly boss victory!

Hey there! Here's my Let's Play of the updated demo that I was graciously given! :D





The main focus of this episode is the redone boss fight, as well as the skill trees and the newly added Shop!

Written below is specifically for the developer: There are some grammatical errors/issues that I would like to take a moment to discuss (I have adjusted them below).  In my video I also mentioned some suggestions about character mannerisms and skill/item naming.

Characters

Poison Arrow
Your arrows apply a poison effect to the target, damaging them over time.

Piercing Shoot
A powerful shot that can pierce through all targets.

Enhanced Piercing Shot
Reduces the cool-down of Piercing Shot by xx%.

Frost Arrow
Reduces the target's movement speed by xx%.

Enhanced Dispel
After being dispelled of a negative effect, heroes are immune to them for 2 seconds.

Rain of Arrows (Rename it "Barrage" perhaps?)
Simultaneously shoot one arrow in each lane.


SHOP

Crystal Mint Leaf
Resist to all negative effects for 5 seconds.

Watch Me 3000
Slow down time when hovering over the equipped hero.
