The global game jam was fun, I got 3 hours of sleep. Anyway, we decided to go against all the artsy vague "games" and make something retro with shootingNine weapons later, metal luv was done. and thisIt features: -Hardcore retro platform gameplay -Innovative coop launch n aim mechanics -SuperWeapons© mode and HeliPack© pickups. -A dramatic plot twist (it's a love story!) -Pretty music. -Awesome pixel art. -An epic boss fight. Now go and play it. link(not vista compatible, google for "gm vista convertor") Oh and thanks to paul, roy and music guy. <3 Oh and lonely nerds: it's coop, so get some friends.

Very nice. I wish I had someone to play this with me though. The little characters are really cute. Edit: And just so you know, I DO have friends, but when your driveway's really long and covered by an inch of ice, no one comes to see you.

I worked on it with a friend, pretty much non-stop. It certainly was a challenge though Thanks for the comments, guys!

I take it that this was inspired by Knuckles Chaotix?

I guess the chained-together gameplay is similar to that, but none of us even mentioned the game while making it. A chained-together/rubber band concept is pretty much the first thing you think about when given the subject "When we're together, we're never out of problems", which was pretty evident by the fact that a lot of people did it during the Jam.

I just had a chance to try this out with my little brother, and it's really really great! Good job man, that's some really well-thought-out co-op! And including the source is nothing short of gentlemanly!
