Has anyone seen the Mega64 GDC ads? I think they're just hilarious.

"Bring your LARPing gear... unless you're a LOSER!!"  Hahahaha...

Yes, they're so funny.  I love how he kicks the screen in all 3 of them Tongue

I think the first two are so brilliant. The third one is just weird.

We're actually thinking of finally getting iPhones this weekend... it just occurred to us that it would be like 10x easier getting around GDC if we could look stuff up online on the go.  Last year there was a lot of getting lost and having to call friends, haha.

I'm actually typing this from the atendee lounge. My first day here was exhausting, but informative. Spent most of it browsing the show floor. Got to get a quick interview over at the Steam booth. (Valve) I also got to sit in on their Steamworks presentation.

This is the first major convention I've been to, so I don't have any point of refernce. But in my estimation, the swag has been pretty good. The GameDev booth was small, but they are handing out shot glasses with the GameDev logo on it. If anyone is in the vicinity of the IGF booth, make sure you grab some of the Meat Boy swag, it is priceless.

This many people in one place is a bit overwhelming for me. I didn't bother going to any parties last night. Might try to hit up some get togethers tonight though.

GDC Europe sounds good, till it'll be like at most an hour away from me.

I bought my tickets Smiley

Hey guys, we will be there with a part of our dev team to give the first previews of our game, Fray. We would love to meet some of you guys, since we are finally able to leave Paris and see other indie devs  Kiss

Resurrecting this for 2012.

Are people keen for a quick jam before/after gdc conf? Maybe a jam in at a pub one evening - 2 hours to make a game, and every time your game crashes you have to drink?

well, it looks like I may actually be going this year. Remains to be seen the specifics, but thanks to the machinations of the IGF, I have more incentive then ever. Would be nice to meet some other game devs.

I'm going.  I'd really like to stay longer than the duration of GDC (a week one side or the other or both), work and chill/work with unfamiliar indies, but I'm not sure who'll be about to hang out with.
