I just went with a ninja star looking leaf.  I'm thinking I should just keep the uniformity of leaves/green plant weapons and do the same thing with the other elements.

implementing it into the game.  I want this weapon to serve as both a shield and a projectile so you can just hold it in front of you to block and hurt enemies.

now that's smooth, I guess I'll just use OBS to record and then convert to a gif in photoshop then.  I guess I have to decide whether or not I want quality or 60fps

Haven't posted on this because I've been focusing on school but I've been working on a lot of stuff, specifically a much more detailed forest area, which I'll post about this weekend most likely.

I just made this boss design today so I wanted to share it.  I really want the focus of the game to be the bossfights to I try to make some fun designs for that. It's really rough and not all the colors are finalized but here it is.  I want to start working on the actual boss fight next week after I'm done with all the forest area assets.

doing a buttload of forest level background art right now.

I want the backgrounds to be more realistic with the characters that are super cartoony.  I'll have to change a few of the assets in the beach level, I think only really the trees and the grass in the foreground.  I already like how the skys, islands, and stones look so it shouldn't take more than a day to do all the adjustments I want to do there.

You surely improved A LOT at pixel art! The trees are wonderful!

By the way, your parallax effect system is really cool, is it handmade? Are you using Game Maker Background or are you using objects you manage on your own?
