Working on the turret enemy for my game. You can see the model here: https://sketchfab.com/models/2231c561e02c481b96be21700ac3e753

Does anyone read this? I get absolutely no feedback whatsoever so I have no idea.

Anyway, working more on the turret enemy, you can see the model linked above and it'll be a wall/floor (since you can rotate it in any way, I can't tell you what you can use it for) mounted one, no rotation or other movement involved (I may make a moving/rotating turret later on if I decide I need one or will be highly requested upon release).

Hello. Things are looking great for CVS! Currently I'm finishing the docs of the level editor, which will become important when the paid version of the game will see release (along with the 5 level demo) as well as implementing things I'll need for the level I'm currently working on. Such as the turret enemy:

I've decided to start doing daily update videos for my patrons (and other people who happen to look at my Patreon page) about progress of my game. They're available at https://www.patreon.com/cvsgame

I got my first ever Patreon supporter! If you didn't feel like contributing earlier, you should do it now as I post semi-regularly there and it gives you few perks such as getting the game on release (in Early Access), your name in the credits and special role on the game's Discord.

I've released predemo #2.6 fixing several issues with Predemo #2.5 and adding a Linux version by request of one of my Patreon supporters. Details here: https://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=45904.msg1384915#msg1384915

I played the Linux build and I like it. Just a few things I noticed below. Please disregard if you already know about these.

There's some shadow flicker going on:

These guys kicked my ass! I think a way to quickly return to the ground would be helpful. Kind of like a crouch key.

In this level, it's really easy to fall and takes a long time to reach the point where I was deleted. I might be missing something, but it didn't seem possible to fly back up to any of the ledges.

Otherwise it's great! The controls are a little twitchy, but I got used to it.

I am aware of the shadow issue and it happens in the windows build as well. This is inherent to the way the shading works in Unity and most other engines and it is fixable, but I don't have necessary skills to do so nor I have money to hire someone who does, so tell your friends about the game and to donate to the Patreon.

As for column level, yeah, you're missing something - you can climb vertical surfaces using walljumping (which includes the walls around the area which can be dashed to with LMB). But I'll see if the death plane is way below lowest column and if so move it up a bit. You can dash downwards with RMB+LMB. This will be explained in the tutorial level (lvl. 1) which I'll do after I'm done with the level I am working on currently.
