Just found this and wanted to say it's a great idea, really hope it gets funded. And if not - please keep trying! There are a lot of school programs, even at the elementary level, that now teach coding and basic programming functions - if you could tap into that network somehow, that could be a big boost for you.

Thanks Pixel Noise. We've been trying to tap that market. Last June I went to ISTE, which is the largest education tech conference, and have been sending out emails to them every day. I've also posted on the Scratch forums and have long ties with the Etoys & Logo & OLPC crowd.
My meager Twitter boosted campaign is right now targeting followers of @hourofcode, @scratch, @minecraft, @notch.
I'm open to new suggestions for communities to reach out to. Today I'm trying the homeschooling and differently abled communities.

How about Hour of Code ( https://hourofcode.com/)? And/or their partners, like Khan Academy.

We do know the Hour of Code folks, even met the founder last June. Both they and Khan are more about finished products these days, a result of their success no doubt. It's become big business and Tidepool in a half-finished form is a hard sell to them next to the Tynkers of the world.
I didn't know about Processing though. This seems like a cool connection.

Every week, a group of five grade-schoolers from Seattle play Tidepool together with the express purpose of breaking it. Over Skype, I hear them trying what I’d never intended, yelling out things “Tim, Tim, I can’t type a K. It closes the box when I type a K.” Yes, these kids are practicing QA (quality assurance), which is a vital role in the software industry. Coding seems to get all the attention these days, but QA is arguably the better path to true mastery. Teach kids what works by teaching them what doesn’t. Here are some sketches they made on Wednesday:

Dang it. I've been watching Tidepool for a long time (unfortunately haven't written often enough in the thread, but I gave you a vote for favourite devlog at least), and now I've basically been off the internet entirely for like two months lately, so I missed that you started the campaign. :/ Tweeted about it anyway, pity I was so late. Not that I have much influence on Twitter, but yeah.
