Hey all,
So I'm working with a student team on our senior capstone project, a 22 week process that takes a small game from concept to a completed state. We've been tasked with getting the word out about games, so to that effect I'll be posting and tracking development process here, with a post every Monday. Our team's website is at bit.ly/HULADEV, and feel free to follow us on Twitter at @hullabaloo_dev.
So, our game in progress is Codename Project Sky, a physics game following a small race of people that just want to be able to soar through the skies. To do that, they have created aircraft similar to paper airplanes, and will now ride the wind currents, surfing through the skies.
We want this to be a lighthearted game that can be played alone, or with friends. By controlling one of these small, faerie like creatures (called Maiits), using their weight on different sections on the aircraft, Players will be able to run through a course, trying to get the fastest time. We're also going to try and implement other modes, such as Distance Throwing, Land on the Target, and Free Roam.
