I work at a library so I can get books for free. I was wondering if there are any must have legal or business books a video game developer must have or read? I would like to start an LLC.

Here's a list of books that I'm planning to read:
Limited liability companies for dummies

Limited liability entities and partnerships : principles and forms

Your limited liability company : an operating manual

Form your own limited liability company

Limited liability companies : formation, operation, and conversion

I'm also qualified for low income legal help including entrepreneurship at my local law college so if I need a lawyer I can ask them.

Its great! Having knowledge about law and system is nice. Hiring a good lawyer is crucial for your small business because the lawyer represents at court of law the interests of your business. It requires planning and research. We may also search out and view online to find more.

Just finished Slicing Pie and really enjoyed it. Shaped the way I think about fairness when splitting a company. Helpful if you'll be taking on any teammates for revenue share or equity. Also very to the point and practical.

A couple less practical but still valuable for creative fields and pretty highly recommended are Start With Why and Creativity Inc. I especially enjoyed Creativity Inc.
