actually the game is still the thing i said in the first post. i'm gonna make a doomrogue, make a better doomscii, feel free to make suggestions about how i could do that shit better. sorry to ramble so much. i don't really want to have to fight dudes in this thread, in fact i've made that explicit several times. but i will fight a dude who tells me the thing im doing shouldnt be done. my whole premise is that i should do these things, and i'm tired of criticism of the form, 'this is a thing that should not have been made', because like, what the fuck.

anyway. rambling again. there's gonna be a tile editor. thats the next thing.

rj, i appreciate the support.

it'll mke you laugh, it'll make you cry. anyway. in this new internet of things, the products and services tehmselves will have a sort of agency and begin to advocate for themselves. this is already happening. you'll have to consider your car's feelings and your phones, as well as your own. (im back at uni now so im learning stuff, and im gonna get even weirder than before).

what i mean is, so long as my ideas are ALLOWED TO EXIST IN THE FIRST PLACE it doesnt matter if i'm right or wrong, all of us are enriched by the fact that the new idea exists as well as the old. if the ideas are any good they'll sell themselves and I wont have to do it. if they're not good they'll disappear eventually - no moderator is required, the chaos and the discussion thereov will sort out the right ideas and the wrong. but i have lots of ideas, not just one.

Quote from: me but on tumblr arguing with tumblr nerds
he’s a better pope than the last one but still a pope. he has to shill for all previous popes and all previous catholic communities, pc he has to shill for all current ones. it’s the job. he can’t say a thing that will piss off the catholics in the phillipines; many of whom literally still believe in succubi and incubi and shit. like if you aren’t faithful to your true love its because demons. so they are told.

so progress is gonna be slow popewise. he has to represent all those viewpoints. if you want a trans pope queen look elsewhere — not gonna be heading up the oldest western empire that still remains in power. such a lady surely exists, i dont want to tell you who your pope should be.

but trans is - if not a new phenomenon, a new ideology. its gonna take some time for it to overthrow 2000 years of schisms and apologies for literally every  heresy that anyone has ever thought of. its a lot of red tape. saying “the pope only cares about trans men, not trans women, and even then not really” — i mean, this is progress. this is perhaps the first pope who has ever give a shit about trans people even a little bit.

so like, why bother having this word 'papess' if we're never gonna have a lady pope? all we have is pope joan, who is apocryphal. we can see from the parable of that one - the one and only pope formosus, and his trial, the cadaver synod, that the pope is not truly infallible. you get to choose your own popes.

sorry for being shit @everyone. i think its a personality type and not a rhetorical device. any sufficiently advanced troll is indistinguishable from tocky. but i am not a troll, i just have a good sense of humor. i believe all this shit.

heres a bunch more words. sorry not sorry.

the guy that runs the game shop near me runs like the only guy in town who sells a spider man tshirt. i can get an official spiderman tshirt online and i can get a better bootleg oen for cheaper, i can make my own spiderman tshirt if i want, copyright be damned. i can't figure out how he makes money. i dont get along with this one specific dude (my fav comic shop is in the city, further away) but he has run a successful establishment selling the most recent d&d to nerds, for let's say at least 15 years.

he's gygax, he bulds a community, hes a shameless self promoter, he runs a lawful establishment, and he doesnt

even fucking know how to play magic. he sells it but when i went in there the other day to ask for a job and build a starter deck, nobody in there even knows the game. he doesn't know the game and doesnt know the customer. he
simply doesn't care. we play competition-style grognard new edition here, and thats all we've always known. this
is the only ship that makes money, its the only ship i'll consider.

there are two guys that made d&d. gygax and arneson. law and chaos(or neutral and chaos, greyhawk and blackmoor). the prophet and the devil. noone remembers arneson. but he was the main dude at one point. they wrote him otu of the history. later they wrote gygax out. hasbro owns d&d now and they own magick the gathering. richard garfield - the magic guy - makes netrunner now. cyberpunk. science fiction for jaded loners. nobody cares about wizards anymore. but listen: wizards are good too.

all movies are about chaos theory. all the best ones anyway.

so like, here are some paradigms: military. religion, art and science. i have considered these and i am a
concious objector. construction? im not a builder. im an architect. we dont need liberal arts and we dont need consevative. we need non-binary arts. void arts. ghost arts.

what about the social safety systems? the four ssss. stealing, study, sex, and the socialisms. this is where the good ideas live.

i could live here forever.

dwarves are for the economy passenger. elves are a luxury we cant afford.
so i piss off this guy every time i walk in there even though im a irregular regular because he's nearby --- its
because he's gygax and im arneson that i don't like to go in there. he doesnt understand chaos, he doesnt care to.
but i write m own d&d. Im not sure if i can get him to sell my books but i think i can sell anything to anyone, given enough time, if they dont shut me down first. pixelation would've banned superjoe, tigsource should have done. law and chaos. i can play any role, i've tried them all out. in any case he's not the only game in town.

miss manners encourages us to cultivate false enthusiasm for other people's children.

every time i talk to my brother waz it ends up being a fight. thats a weird fucked up thing to know. but i can
fight with waz less by telling him fewer things (he thinks) are wrong.

collect all the game-looking stuff in the first post. then noone can say youre not making a game.
collect the tutorials in the second post. you'll have to write your own best tutorials, noone else will do
it for you.
then write those tutorials into the thread. noone can say youre not making a game.

bards vs not-bards. people dont like bards much these days but they do like pirates and rogues and shit. they do
like hiphop and metal and break-core. me, i all this stuff and also like vaporwave. its not the setting that
matters, its the message.

noone wants to identify with hats. hats are something our fathers wore. we are not our fathers and we do not need
hats. yahtzee croshaw, we dont need two such men. yahtzee lives in my city, there's not room in brisbane for two
yahtzee croshaws. anyone who wears a hat is overfond of the past. so we have a morgan jaffit and a truna and a
tocky. noone knows tocky yet but in the future they will ahve to know him, because he will not be stopped.
so instead of bards we get specialists, rogues, trickster spirits and orators, none of whom wear hats.
red white and black mages. red mages are bards for the japanese, who dont have a word for the western concept
bard. reds are summoners and specialists, jacks of all trades and masters of none. neutrals. blacks are
elementalists and necromancers, chaos. whites are thief-catchers and healers. law.
intelligence, wisdom and charisma.
red and green and yellow cavaliers. strength dexterity and constitution.
progamming art and music.
in the end, we are told, you need to choose only one knight. dont choose marcus. (marcus is writing books?) -no. he's an analogy for being old.
cave story does this too: you have to ignore your maternal impulse and keep moving. otherwise people die.
morrowind tells us that all roles are true.
d&d tells us that all roles are true except the monster versions of those roles, which are false. shamans and witch doctors. the shadow of racism. hate for the poor and the weak, even the richest and strongest of the weak.
pokemon teaches us that all monsters are true.

advice for crow: listen to piledriver. that dude got the joke early. hes a thief-catcher whereas you are an
engineer (some kinda paladin but still a healer i think). piledriver can be a neutral third party. he will
explain the joke to you. but its not a joke, its the truth.

yeah me too. why do you like it? what do you like about it?

Quote from: analcentipede
post more about it [the game] over weird tangents.

i think surt might be right, the tangents are part of it. the game itself is gonna be full of weird tangents so its gonna be good practice to acclimatise yourself to all this dumb bullshit at this early stage of development. its gonna be a dumb game full of bullshit, but i hope, a fun one. let's not discuss 'fun' just now.

test:

alright. i can hotlink from deviantart. so we image hosting in 2015.

like the setting is an anonymised australia. we can use morrowind stuff, red sun stuff, planescape stuff, mad max, dark crystal, salute of the jugger, labyrinth, mirrormask, whatever. scrap princess (who is a fav of mine obv) writes an anonymised red sun/planescape hybrid, so we can even steal all scraps good ideas. there's a strong australian (antipodian, lots of good nerds in nz too, and im guessing, papua new guinea, indonesia, southeast asia. japan and china too but these are anti-antipodian. podian.) rpg community and they're all amazing brilliant shitlords. chaos popes. an island in the middle of nowhere, lost remnant of the empire. the empire still sends you letters but they dont send you much support. it's just like, sometimes they send you two robots and a crate full of carrots. but you have to make do with what you have. the gameplay is dwarfort (in your own house) and doom (in the wilds) and then monaco (when you're at the enemy house). im gonna do topdown for inside and fps for outside. this is a dumb idea but im gonna try to do it. i might be able to support both-turn-based-and-realtime but i dont want to promise all this shit. this is just me telling you what i'd like to put in it.

australia has three terrain types: desert, swamp, ocean. all are terrifying.

in the dwarf fort: i'd like to have booksmithing, gunsmithing, and druglording. vehicles maybe. im spitballin here.

youre controlling a team of dudes, not just one. these could be multiplayer (if i can get the network shit going, i know about .0005% about networks. maybe i can get someone to help) but they can be totally ai. im good at ai, i am myself a malevolent ai. you can even just not control any dude and float over them like a tactics strategy guy. again, all this shit would be nice.

what about the doom? here it'd be nice to have vehicles going. we can steal from borderlands and titanfall, we can even steal from halo and destiny and journey. star wars. lots of low hanging fruits in the neighbors yard. theyre not even using all this fruit. rage as well.

the monaco? doomrogue, diablo. d&d. all of the games that start with d.

the other thing i want to have is trains. theres something very insidious about trains.

again, dont get your hopes up for all this shit. i havent written a lot of code and its all up in the air right now. i'm confident that i can make it but only if i can stay up. when you got depression, you cant make games. feel free to make the game yourself if i dont seem to be working on it. make your own fork you know? i guess you dont even really have to credit me i mean it's legal not to. it'd be nice though.

HEALTH SAFETY AND CHAOS

alright so i passed an oh&s exam today, so for today only i know everything about DANGER.

yellow alert (woop woop)means STOP WHAT YOURE DOING, LISTEN TO YOUR SUpRVISOR, FOLLOW ORDDERS.

red (BWARP BAWP PWARP) means GET OUT SHITS GOING CRAZY WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING HERE.

green (silent) means come to this place, and stay there.

you can do alerts inside and you can do them outside. you can do them in specific rooms.

heres a bunch of different ways you can die from handling chemicals:

inhalation
absorbtion
ingestion
injection
explosion
fire

heres a bunch of shit to avoid:

chemicals
bioterrors
sharps
fire (go away from fires)
radiation
pinch points
projectiles
water pressure (fluid pressure)
rotating parts
impacts
electrick.

heres a bunch of damage types:

acid
heat
eye (blindness)
lung (respiration)
fall
graze
cut
crush
pierce
infection
pollution (which mostly hurts plants and small animals)

i dont really have a hp model yet but you can see how it could be very complex.

the ohs policy at the uni doesnt have rules for sanity... their policy is something like "be wise and not reckless, do not misuse the technology"... ominous.

but um, they should care about mental health. its a shitty game to require me to learn all about chemical weapons so that i can get a sticker so i can open doors. it turns out the kind of door i was trying to open was a different kind of door that needs a different kind of key. nobody at a university has ever talked to a second person at the same university, never not once. they'll have administrators in adjacent buildings, working in the same field, on the same project, who never meet or speak to one another. i can easily design them a better game than this. they made me play this game all day just so they could have permission to flick a switch on their interface. the law hangs over us all.

anyway i should probably stop bringing the fight with me wherever i go.

some stuff i was saying in another thread, you guys should read all this shit also.

lots of stuff is related to game design but is not quite game design, like anything can be related because anything can go in a game.

so um. i recommend anything about world history, psych, comedy, etc...

um you dont have to take my word for it, there are lots of kooks who will tell you this. the hard part is finding game audiobooks, but there are lots of game podcasts, but not many ar theory, most are 'what have we been playing this week' and industry news...

http://www.raphkoster.com/category/reading/ <<kosters reading list
http://www.costik.com/weblog/ << costiks old blog before playthisthing, lots of good recs there. hard to find audio though.
http://auntiepixelante.com/ << the third best games history kook is anna, but she doesnt maintain a bibliography i dont think. annarchive, but its games not books. maybe youll find one (a bibliography) in one of her books.
http://www.erasmatazz.com/library/index.html << chris crawford, king of kooks. his bibliography.

WORLD HISTORY
like the best intro book on how world history unfolds is probably 'guns germs and steel' by jared diamond. i think diamond is less-true the further he gets from his own expertise, which is sociology if i recall correctly but still-true-enough. diamond has written other books since this. a lot of this academic stuff is gonna be heavy.

the other intro world history book is CONNECTIONS. but you can also watch the tv show version.

anything by stephen pinker.

I like dan carlin's 'hardcore history' podcast - even just the first episode on steppe people. nobody talks about the steppes. but from the steppes we get the scythians, the mongols, the turks and the huns. these guys affected history just by being terrifying, but they stayed and built empires, and so they have their own cultures and their descendants have writing. the chinese and the romans wrote about how scary they were. hes a politics weirdo and he also does a indie politics podcast but its not required reading.

another thing here is anything on philosophy... any philosophy. eastern, western, presocratic, socratic, stoic, enlightenment. trust me: psychology is philosophy is games. same field.

bertrand russel can do you a rundown of all philosophers and whether they were right or wrong. you ucan trust bertrand russel a fair bit. like at least hes read all these dudes and has an opinion.

PSYCHOLOGY
npr does a good popular psych podcast or they used to.... radiolab. anything about tech and science that touches on the impact of these technologies moving forward. hmmm... any science fiction and fantasy novels tbh. a song of ice and fire if you havent read it or watched the tv show. even if you have watched it, the books are better, i dont have to prove this.

religion is also psychology. so like, theology, any religion. doesnt have to be your parents' religion.

the 'mental illness happiness hour' podcast will help you understand psych and understand the player. and why the do all the weird shit players do.

COMEDY
you can just listen to live acts, whoever you like. but all radio is comedy at some point, some more than others.

<< 'talking funny' these guys are at the top of their game. 150 years of expertise distilled into an hour.

um... what else is the same field as games. learning and teaching? tutorials. how to write a tutorial. this means all academics are game designers (many of them are bad at it. the market weeds out the worst stuff. you can choose your own popes.)

LANGUAGE
we all live in the shadow of chomsky so we should know chomsky. the criticism with chomski is he doesnt care much about the native people whose languages he describes.
stephen pinker. pinker writes about everythng but hes a linguist.
'the secret life of pronouns'. pennebaker. good probability analysis. if im talking it matters if i talk about myself 'i, me' or all of us (we, us). it affects people whether you talk to them or to yourself.

how to concatenate and recombine strings to make new strings that are still readable, that's computational linguistics.

SOCIOLOGY
i never did a sociology degree, its the nearest field to games i barely know anything about. sociology these days is sjw, so you'll have to listen to sjws.

so like: anything on being trans. anything on being queer. anything on being black, or just not white. anything on being a woman. anything on being a man, but more than this: poor. crazy. in prison. in work. danerous, dull and dirty work. in the military. in religion. in the family. we hide this shit but its still important.

anyway, we could get stuck talking about mens rights and feminism. just listen to people who are different from you. if you dont have black perspectives listen to some trade podcast about some black culture - like hip hop. this will give you guys that came up outside the academia, so newer and less well represented perspecties tha dont have to pass through the university system.

MILITARY
game theory, definitely game theory. people will tell you this isnt related to games but they're wrong. the developer is required to live in an iterated prisoners dilemma with the player.

what else is military? soldiers diaries, strategy and tactics: so sun tsu. um i dont know what else. blind spot for me. ask a military. but yeah: anything about guns and missiles and how best to use them i guess. guns are games too. economics. where does all the military money go.

which leads us back to politics... politics is games too.

COMICS
scott maccloud.

you can just read comics but they never have audio books really? i think. but the webcomics money models are the same as ours.

dont watch indie game the movie if you can avoid it. too close to home. how the sausage is made.

lots of fields are games though: all fields really. construction, agriculture, tourism, telemarketing, retail. education, more than anything, is games.

EDIT: THE JEFF AND CASEY SHOW. obviously.

ok so hero forge has this great online character creator for 3d printed minis. you can see how we can use a sort of tool like this to make concept art, for free. if we like to we can also buy the minis. but they host these models for me on the cloud and i can look at them whenever i like, so long as that company stays up.

its worth noting here that - now that deviantart allows inward links - it becomes a legitimate portfolio website, a host, and not just a critic board. now criticism is completely irrelevant because i can bypass all critics and just link to the images themselves. if you want the criticism thats all still over there.

so like deviantart becoems photobucket but better than photobucket - because they have all this expertise. i can hotlink anyones images, not just mine. so um. expect that soon.

the other thing is this means we can communicate using only image macros and not text, and the files will aways be up. deviantart is solid, its not going anywhere.

but um, why do I like text?

because it keeps the basics out. essentially. those nerds who would steal my art and not my words. my words are more true and more important. don't just look, listen.

if you want weak criticism of infiniminer:
http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Infiniminer
Quote
Infiniminer is an open source multi-player block-based sandbox building and digging game, in which the player is a miner searching for minerals by carving tunnels through procedurally generated voxel-based maps and building structures.

Infiniminer is commonly associated with Minecraft for giving Notch an idea on where to go with Minecraft, sometimes as a forerunner. It was developed by Zachtronics Industries, and released in steps of incremental updates during April–May 2009. It quickly garnered a following on message boards around the internet, and inspired Notch to start working on Minecraft several weeks after it was discontinued. Like Minecraft, Infiniminer is a block-based digging/building game. It was originally intended to be played as a team-based competitive game, where the goal is to locate and excavate precious metals, and bring your findings to the surface to earn points for your team. However, as the game gained popularity, players decided it was much more fun to build things than to compete for points. Zachtronics discontinued development of the game less than a month after its first release.
References

The origins of Minecraft - The Word of Notch.
Zach Barth stating why Infiniminer failed.
    Infiniminer on the English Wikipedia.

notch's main criticism of infiniminer, back in 2009, ^ is that it isnt pretty.

he says that minecraft is a clone of dwarf fortress, not infiniminer:

1 thats not better
2 hes obviously lying about this. its a clone of infiniminer.

but minecraft isnt pretty either. i was working on a pretty mod for minecraft but notch killed my enthusiasm for it when he added a bunch of features i did not care for, a bunch of extra objects to skin, at no extra value, and also fucked up the grass, which was the most basic thing. so that mod didnt come out, and my good free work to make minecraft pretty is lost to us.

i really dont like anything they added to infiniminer. minecraft: it's good, but its not better than the game it is a sequel of. its a good clone but i dont prefer it. minecraft shills for the casuals. infinifactory is a true sequel, it is a bigger better game and comes later in the sequence. minecraft is to infiniminer as infiniminer is to infinifactory. we have all three games. minecraft is not the best of them. but we can choose our own popes.

anyway my point is i can draw a knight or archer or pirate or wizard as good as the next nerd. but i'm actually better than a next nerd because i can write. i can write code, i can even write music, more important than this i can write games. and i care about the casuals but i care about the hardcores more.

were gonna need voxels. 3d sprites. it's just a stack of sprites. a buffer, but with layers. its easy.
we will also need palettes. but there's no need to palettize the color of the grass. let the artist - the color theorist - decide what color grass is.

ok. so i have reached the angriest point (known as  Angry) and i am past it.

am i making a game? yes i am. behold: http://www.random-generator.com/index.php?title=DOG_WIZARDS

does any of this shit matter? yes it does, its important that, while we make games like minecraft here, we also make games like infiniminer. they dont have to make money, that shit is secondary. too basic. we're talking about game design not accessibility. engineering not sophistry.

we make games like infiniminer here.
like dwarf fortress.
like rogue.
like dungeons and dragons.
etc.

these games werent made here but they might have been.

so: i can draw. but the drawing matters for about 1/3 of what we do.

what else do we do? we make music. we write. we write code. we make games.

so youre a rich merchant and you have a bunch of sons. five sons, too many. who do you give your business to.

well, first of all, choos three sons. three sons not five, its easier to do.

and like: each merchant gets to choose his own sons.

so like one of my sons is writing. im gonna choose that one.

code. obviously were gonna need code. none of you tigs know anything about code tbh.

and games. if its not games what are we even fucking doing here.

one of my sons is art, that son is rich enough already.

music? music is an excellent son but i never even think about music.

but these are the only sons im willing to consider.

the roman empire conspiracy, as a data structure

this is a logical model for conspiracies. its actually a logical model for pixel art also, but this will take some time to explain.

we start with triads because lots of people understand triads.

mind-body-spirit is the stoic model, a roman thing.
jesus-yahweh-church is the catholic model.
father-son-holy spirit. thats how they explain it.

but yeah; this is just three paradigms. a triad of triads.

but here we have all the building blocks for understanding the roman catholic mind, and we havent even talked about socrates yet.

you can see that in the roman model, father-yahweh-mind is one map. jesus-son-body is a second. roman spirit-holy spirit-church is a third. but maps are just triads again. same data structure. three booleans gives you the direction. a 3d vector gives you the position, as well.

what we're talking about is not, like, a ghost - we're talking about the empire. the breath in the lungs of each child of rome.

i have digressed. three triads and three maps is a 2d grid:

MBS
JYC

oh shit. i know how to make those! so yeah, you can generate infinite ptoing robots this way. kinda like gp lackeys been doing: https://twitter.com/GenerateACat

but this is enough information for a conspiracy with nine partners. but im talkign about infinite partners. what about zero, one, two, or three partners? how many partners are there in your games company? do you want more partners or fewer? this is the kind of decision you'll have to make one day. every shop in this town runs on a skeleton crew in 2015. moderators simply delay the process, of deciding who stays relevant and who is just a ghost that must be culled.

there are three paradigms at wikipedia

DELETION
PRESERVATION
THE NEUTRAL POINT OF VIEW

ive been told that there are three at the OLD SCHOOL REVIVAL DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS community on googleplus also

D&D (grognards)
STORY GAMES (fairies)
THE TRADITION (grognerd fairies or something. noone talks about the tradition.)

on tumblr? theres like a billion i dont want to tell you about tumblr

what about just tumblr trans lesbians? there are three kinds:

THE TRUE-SCUM
THE TOO-CUTES
THE BI-SEXUALS (dont get me started on korrasami, i am sick of the korrasami discourse )

ok. but i know more about lesbians than this, we also have:

BLUE HAIR (these are anime archetypes. blue hair is melancholy)
RED HAIR  (fire. dominant type. from fucking evangelion most likely)
YELLOW HAIR (mediate. fun loving, wants everyone to get along)
if we wanted to extend it we can add green hair but i dont know what green hair means. bulbasaur.

this gives us the nine-point model again, but for tumblr lesbians. why do i spend so much time listening to tumblr lesbians? because they make better games than you nerds do.

what have i just told you how to do? i've taught you how to map anime lesbians to roman catholic principles? what is that? its an idea for a pixel art. is that a game, or not? im telling you: people will buy it. its like fire emblem but with more sex nuns.

why be gay and not straight? more pairings. if you make 5 dudes and 4 women you either limit or increase the number of options. which is it?

eventually you have to think about asexuals, nonbinaries, bisexuals, and agenders (people like tocky) - but first you'lll have to accept trans men and trans women. we may pay lip service to this idea but the thing is none of this shit is really happening, and it will some day. lets speed it up.

the first step towards paying your employees is believing in yourself. but this is not enough. you have to be willing to pay yourself. and then you have to be willing to pay your dues. then you pay your own sons. then you pay anyone else whos worth money. lets speed it up.

respect is something that must flow in all directions, not just up. its not something that must be earned, but failures of respect should be apologised. all you guys are lizards. the lizard pope (rupert murdoch) is a lizard. he simply does not know.

some of you guys are ok shit lords but youre still not very good at it. stick to games, its easier. so if i communicate with you guys in text mode its to keep the basics out. theres a lot of dudes will read a thing, make fun of it, and still not grok it. also text is faster. i can get a lot of shit done fast as text.

so im talking about the math of small numbers. because not one of you dudes has learned math, you havent even learned how to read. tocky, teach us the large numbers math. i tell you i am teaching it. this is the message you dudes are not advanced enough (in the field of games: art, code, writing and music) to hear. rj gets it. surt gets it. the rest of you guys are behind the curve.

youre gonna have to believe in yourselves if youre gonna learn this shit, theres not gonna be an exam. i will teach you how to steal good ideas and not wrong ones. the first question you should ask is, if i steal this idea, do i do it to please tocky, or to his detriment? because if youre just fucking with me i dont have time for that shit.

you guys who arent willing to read, write or do sums: im sorry you guys. those are pre-tocky subjects. go back to making weakass games. the reason i wont delete every cookie is because pixelation is not more important to me than all other websites put together. so i'll wait the six months. remember i still have tor if for some reason i have to visit pixelation and it cant wait six months. progress is slow over there, nothing is likely to happen.

i dont know if all you guys have soft blocked me but i need more response than none. how am i driving? lets even have positive replies for once. too much negative on here alredy.

heres the breakdown on these smal numbers:

zero is void. void math is catching exceptions, like when a guy tries to divide by zero. but we could rewrite teh n/0 operation to not throw an exception. n/0=0, this is fine. n/0=n, this is fine as well. the thing about void maths though is it doesnt do anuthing.

one is identity. a conspiracy of one person is a vaccum, though. nothing comes in and nothing goes out.

two is couples. you can form a couple between any two persons but it has to be respect in both directions or the couple breaks.

three is triads. strong triads support themselves. three connections: AB AC BC. all have to be strong.

four is the field. a rect. six connection including the diagonal ones. if you hate the guy in the other quadrant you can communicate through intermediaries. but the hate will drag everybody down.

five. call and response. you have a triad. you have a couple outside the triad, a saint and a devil. map everything to everything and you get a pentagram. we're fastly apporaching too many connections to remember. 5+4+3+2 = 14. i think thats right. its hard to count it even if you do draw the pentagram.

six is a hexagram, six is the sides of the cube. six identities gives you two triads counterposed. a good triad and an evil one. six is also the number of the beast. 1/3 = .666666666666

seven is the magic number. noone can remember more than seven things at a time. if your list has seven elements it has too many elements.

eight is the corners of the cube. but no sides, and no center. two fields juxtaposed. two triads and a call and response.

nine is the cube with a center, but no sides. its also the 2d space that is 3-by-3. a square. the nine-point-model. law and chaos, good and evil.

ten is the roman system. we keep it because it is good enough for counting, but it is not good enough for computers. for that we need 2-bits so these older intuitive 10-bits are a bit hefty.

eleven is a large prime. we dont like primes much because they are hard to relate to other numbers. but its also a near-factor in the number of the beast. 666/11 = 60.545454. not quite but close. 111 is a factor though. another near-factor is 10, and 100, and so on. in my game prime worlds are safe harbors.

twelve is lots of factors. 2,3,4,6,12. you can see why i like it so much. its the least-prime of these small numbers with which we are concerned. i think like 16 and 32 have more factors, but they are not multiples of 3. also it's too large to remember 16 things.

response

i like the art you've posted so far a lot.

i think part of why people don't respond is bc of the aforementioned incoherence* (also bc i tend to be one of the Posters in this Thread and i had a dead week)

also how do you even soft block a person. what is this nonsense

anyway keep going! this generator is odd

*not even incoherence sometimes as much as running off-topic and contrary to your game, or at least discussing things that (if relevant to your game) aren't considered as relevant to your game bc of the way you present them?

This thread is fascinating but often hard to parse, reminding me of Philip K. Dick's journals somewhat. To reply directly, aside from the detached meta shit I'm doing now, I wouldn't even know where to start. This isn't a criticism, or meant to be negative, its just the way it is.

Some of the best conceptual stream-of-consciousness essays I've read have been half hypertext; full of relevant links every few words. I feel like that style of essay would fit your writing perfectly. As it is I have to, for example, copy a term like "korrasami" to Google to get the reference. Why not hyperlink something like that to give us your context for the term, instead of having to rely on Google's?
