Had a quick look at the demo.
Wow! The atmosphere is really amazing and is inviting to explore more!
Here are a few things that I noticed;
1. As others mentioned, I also had issues with the control consistency and expected "up" to be for
use/activate.
2. I found the lock turning speed slow. Since you aren't interacting with the lock (and if it's always the same "key") then I'd prefer if it was about 1.5 times faster.
3. It seemed to happen a few times that when I picked up the "A" (holo-block?) item, the character moved slower. I assumed it was because the block was heavy but the issue was that instead of walking, she seemed to run in slow motion. I was wondering if perhaps that either walking animation wasn't finished or maybe that is how you intended it.
4. Voices. Sometimes, the girl's voice sounded like as if two people were talking. But the old guy's voice was better. I noticed that it seemed to happen when she syllables very quickly one after the other so you could add a little space between syllables.
