I've been working on a tutorial series covering the Godot game engine.  If you've never heard of it, Godot is an open source, C++ based Unity-like cross platform game engine that runs on Windows, Mac and Linux.

For this series I am producing both a text and video version of each tutorial.  The content is more or less the same, so pick which format you prefer.  The contents of the tutorial currently are:

The tutorial is ongoing, so expect updates soon.  As always, feedback appreciated.

Oooh, I've been meaning to have a bit of a play with Godot for ages, after a Pandora port was built. But I struggled to get off the ground really (kind of like with UE4, Unity, and GameMaker).

BTW - Your video link for "A Closer Look at Godot Game Engine" points to some Java setup

Thanks for doing the text version tutorials! Since I am now living in remote area, I have to use mobile internet connection, which is quite expensive with very limited quota  Angry. Watching/streaming video tutorials suddenly has become a luxury thing for me [o.O"]
