    Wizard of Legend is a fast paced 2D dungeon crawler where you assume the role of a powerful wizard on his quest for fame and glory! Every year In the kingdom of Lanova, the Legendary Council of Magic holds an invitational challenge for qualified wizards who aspire to join their ranks. Contestants who manage to overcome all the trials set forth by the Council will be granted the honor of joining the Council of Magic as its newest Wizard of Legend!

    Oooh I like the previews! Very dynamic. It just looks like it's going to be super fun to play with my little brother = P.
    It reminds me of that old game Nox and Super Light Drifter at the same time. Which is great.
    I'm looking forward to see where this is going!

    Showing off some new enemies and skills this week. Also, we did some tests with friendly fire/PvP to see how it would work out if we were to implement it in the final game.

    Thanks Dwarven! We've been trying to focus on the mechanics, probably to a fault. We're looking to improve the visuals a bit and polish things up a bit more in the coming weeks for a playable demo.

    We were hoping to have a build ready for play testing on Friday, but we ran out of time and couldn't finish up a few of the features we really wanted. And unfortunately, this coming week is going to be pretty crazy as well so we're looking to have a build ready to go in a couple weeks. We'll definitely post it here and on our Twitter @contingent99, so stay tuned!

    We got a working demo out this week! Still pretty rough but check it out and leave us some feedback!

    Unity Web Player

    Windows

    Mac

    XBox 360 controllers and keyboard/mouse controls are supported in this build. Best played with a 360 controller.
    Keyboard/Mouse controls: WASD to move and mouse to aim skills.

    We weren't able to post an update last week, but in turn we have lots of updates for this week! We spent a ton of time implementing mouse & keyboard controls, refactoring the UI, and replacing a ton of assets. As a result we were able to get an initial pre-alpha build for people to try! Link is on the first post.

    Don't apologize for focusing "too heavily" on mechanics - the various attacks will really keep things fresh and interesting! Art and stuff can come later :p

    We got a lot of feedback from here and Reddit last week after releasing our first public build. Based on the feedback, we spent most of this week experimenting with different game modes and how to best highlight our combat mechanics and skill diversity. We decided upon a system where we'll have multiple unique builds each with a signature spell or two. We're hoping to release a new build for feedback so stay tuned!

    That's what we're aiming for: really really fun combat mechanics. But we still need game modes and oh so much more art though haha. :D
