That name might be problematic since Pixel Piracy is already a game, as another poster mentioned

Love the look of this, the mix of top down and side scrolling is really cool

What happened to the old palette?



Does the limited palette version still look good in combination with the dark environments?

I have been checking out the palette from the FamicomDX, it's nicer to work with.

Finalised on a 6 colour palette, he is probably all good for animation now. Lot's of layers al-la Arthur style health.

I've converted what I was doing back to NES palettes.

Trying out a few colourways. Grey seems to be a favourite, thoughts welcome.

Mega anchor, on my god Who, Me?, what can you do with such massive destruction weapon? destroy the stage?  or it has AoE?

I love all of it! In regard to suit color, I kinda like the blue, it feels traditional. But that's no reason not to go gray, which does look nice. Is there a potential for costume swaps/unlocks? Or suit color corresponds to a powerup?

All the weapons look fun, especially the mega anchor. Keep it up man.

Working on a destructible terrain system, so the official use is "landscaping".

I'm leaning towards gray as the main colour, but yes maybe he could evolve during the game. Some good ideas here.

I like your new runcycles and barracuda/shark, but i still don't like your color choice for the main character, the blue was gerat, imho. You could combine blue jacket and black hat.



The pixels which i marked yellow give me the impression that the hat is peaked like a baseball cap. (I guess you used it to separate the hat from the eyebrows?)

I like the concept of the Barracuda better but I like how the shark looks. Perhaps if you flesh out the barracuda a bit more? Smiley

Why not both? They both look awesome, although the pirate looks more natural with the barracuda in his hands than with the shark. What purpose will they have in the game anyway? Smiley

This game looks sweet! I like the goofy weapons (Holding a cannon, a giant shark) and I really like the top down view in that bar. Gonna be checking up on this game.
